Interesting wha[ you say about plecos eating eggs, I have bristlenose in 3 out of 4 of my tanks, and tiger peckoltia in the 4th... I have not had any eggs eaten except for when my super red bristlenose male kicked his own eggs out of the cave! My bolivian rams are fine protecting the eggs in the open, and the plecs can't get into any of my apistogrammas caves. I am just curious about whether my flag acara are a pair or not... 🤞

To be honest most fish eat eggs if they can get the chance. I just find plexus and other catfish try the hardest

Most fish should have a buddy. I always buy them in pairs……

You have a non submersible heater in that tank. You could even see the two water lines, maximum and minimum. Non submersible.

@@Blanchardtyler1 . It probably was submersible. They certainly weren't frying. I have to get serious about buying a spare one. There's no sense in being caught without one. And like all electronic products, they are inferior to their jobs.

Jezz Abb you might need to wait a couple of months then. Check for coloring also. Normally the dominant male will be brightly teal colored whereas the female will have a lot of blackish scales

Beta Fisk no problem hope it helps you! Helped me multiple times. I don’t breed these guys at the moment anymore on to a different fish!
