Are ruthless, unfortunately in TV Land, movies, etc. interracial couples very seldom are given a happy, stable ending and this has been going on since 'the 1950's'. My angst is the writers, producers, etc. thinks they're good enough 'sexual partners' but that seems to be as far as they're willing to go. This really does seem like a nice couple, have any of you checked for DVD, CD'S, etc. about this show (this couple in particular?

Most of the iconic romantic couplings in fiction have heartbreaking endings; therefore, I would say your conclusion that producers and writers do this deliberately to interracial couples is a stretch. I suppose it's a sign of our deep psychological workings, as a species, that we gravitate toward melancholic conclusions-- some couplings are etched deeper into our psyches because our hearts broke deeply along with those characters. Alisha had to fall in love with future Simon in order to fall in love with present Simon and give him the confidence he needed to be the “man in the mask.” If he hadn’t of died in the past, she wouldn’t have fallen for present Simon, and if she hadn’t of died in the future, future Simon would’ve never had gone back to the past.
