Litter Free Auroville

A community wide campaign called 'Litter Free Auroville' (LFA) took place on the 29th of January 2010. The campaign brought together children from schools, artists, people working in waste management, etc. to put 'waste' on the map in Auroville- with the aim of inspiring many more people to become conscious of the things we consume, the waste we generate everyday and finding ways to manage waste more sustainably within Auroville. The campaign consisted of a massive litter clean up, an engaging exhibition and different events (such as a Trashion show- a fashion show with clothing and accessories made only from waste).
