very nice, this is what some of us what and need, for commuting, the cities should mandate clean small vehicles, leave the big vehicles for trips with family on the weekends, add a removable door
I've tested it! All-in-one a nice little fun car with go-kart features! BUT, about the necessary battery leasing, the most people call the buying into question...
Yes, more or less. The concept is motorcycle like so it's possible that a tall person will "hug" the seat in front of him with his feet/legs...but I haven't seen the Twizy in person yet. Anyhow it's a decent strat, hopefully in a few years similar and better performing vehicles will be very diffused in Europe (it all depends from how quickly they create recharge stations around in public - in Italy where I live ENI has already signed a big contract with national power for a net of over 2000).
there is drain holes and if you really want full door you can do one yourself if you can get plexi and cut it proprely with rubber all around and you still be able to use regular doors when the weather is good, because they are removable
I've got to have one. Where I live and considering my lifestyle, this could be my only vehicle. I'd just rent a car for very rare long distance trips. Every place I go is within range of this vehicle. Weather tight doors would be nice even if they were removable. Any chance of seeing these in the U.S.?
snowbird29803 Doubtful, we haven't had Renault's for a long time, let alone something that would be very popular and bring down oil sales, no way it'll happen, and if it does it likely won't be for a while
I like it alot. Window screens are not a big problem, the man things are duribility and looks and it appears to meet both. I would need to see it of course. There is a groundswell in the US for cars that maker sense. Not seeing so much of the gas hog mentality. Now we know the real cost of gas, we can never love the huge car again. I hope it all happens before I move on.
This is impractical vehicle for now. But after 2050 this will be the prevalent mode of transportation for affluent part of society. Then there will be many different variations but the size is pretty much correct. Natural gas will be powering this mode of transportation for 10-15 years until this source ousted too. What will be a power source next?
It is electric and has a top speed of 45 km/h or 82 km/h depending on which one of the engines you pick. And yes it is road legal and can even be registered as a heavy ATV.
driven one a few weeks ago, it does come with doors but only half ones. here in the netherlands it's about 7k for a capped (45km/h) and 8k5 for an car licence one (80km/h). range is about 100km. 50 a month for the batterypack 6h full load. it's not that bad to drive, quite nippy because it doesn't way anything. really plasticy tough, large panelgaps, does not air quality. get yourself a small diesel and use sunflower oil instead, go green for real.
well the water doesn;t pool on a bike it rolls off but yeah i would say bikers would make good swimmers since they would have good upper body strength from pushing lifting etc of thier bikes. thier not light after all.
Not really. It would be rain-proof 99% of the time. Doors would be doable, but would make it vulnerable to being knocked about a bit with wind gusts. As a compliment to your traditional car, best to just keep it the way it is - for most people.
That would make it wayyyy faster, dam things too quiet. Though you'd need better tires and probably need to have a better drive train. The Busa engine would probably eat this drive train for breakfast.
At 1st I thought it was a great little car, then I found out that when you buy the car, is like buying a condo.....A Condo is actually a place you rent, you pay a huge damage deposit and pay your monthly rent (They call it "Association Fee") with this car, you make your down payment of around $12.000.00 then pay your monthly rent to Renault of $65.00 (They say is for leasing the battery) which you'll never get to own, nor they give you the chance to get your own!....So hell no...Thanx!
if they would produce elcetric cars who looks exactly like an ordinary car, people would actually buy them, but if they keep building cars that looks like a retarded shoe, they'll never sold them.
not unless it has proper doors if my brother parks with the windows down and it rains his fucked in a regular car park this thing in the rain and you'll need swim lessons more than driving lessons.
IT NEEDS THE IDEA SCRAPPING! It looks cool, but the doors (if you can call them doors) are truly pointless, and useless in rain. I've sat in one, and I'd rather have a Trabant! Over priced, badly designed, disabled scooter!

This is one of the innovative technologies.

not necessary but greatly appreciated
Es hermoso
@MrBorderghost Only buy it when you can drive more then 200km ( 125 miles ) on 1 charge
I like it.
i'm thinking, thats is the future. the perfect city-car.
not bigger and faster, smaller and smarter is comming.
Proper doors were on your brother's car, yet they didn't allow water out?
If this thing is the future im dreading it....
not bad, this car. but i don't know what is the power? fuel? or electricity?
and : is this car being legal running on road?

Esta genial para México por los altos precios de la gasolina solo faltan puertas y aire acondicionado
how do they hold up to cold weather..

Can i get a petrol version and 200mph top speed too.

Are these scooters sold in the US?
So bikers are good swimmers?
@MrBorderghost well in the future the oil will be gone.. so i think youll be happy.

mejor que una moto para los que nunca aprendieron a andar en una bici siquiera
you can now add doors and windows.
well the water doesn;t pool on a bike it rolls off but yeah i would say bikers would make good swimmers since they would have good upper body strength from pushing lifting etc of thier bikes.
thier not light after all.
What is it, a street-legal golf-cart?
if there is no driving licence and other technical documents needed then this is a good solution
Not really. It would be rain-proof 99% of the time. Doors would be doable, but would make it vulnerable to being knocked about a bit with wind gusts. As a compliment to your traditional car, best to just keep it the way it is - for most people.
After no windows.
Waiting for no wheel Version!
YO ME LO COMPRO PERO DONDE ESTAN LAS PUERTAS?

2 tricycles cars for driveing on road 2 batterys 2 pulgs 3 pin
It has a passenger seat. But if you are going to use this car with passengers frequently i would rather reccomend another electric car though.
not true, It was designed so water has no place to accumulate, unlike a regular car .
humm it has a wipers but no doors O.O
Someone should tell Renault that we now have the technology to create talking videos.
it's good but it need windows thought
That would make it wayyyy faster, dam things too quiet. Though you'd need better tires and probably need to have a better drive train. The Busa engine would probably eat this drive train for breakfast.

Still doesn't help having to sit on a soaking wet chair driving home in the rain only for your car to smell like a sewer the next day.
not unless it has proper doors if my brother parks with the windows down and it rains his fucked in a regular car park this thing in the rain and you'll need swim lessons more than driving lessons.
it looks like the Amish cars,if they had cars this is what they would drive.
