Damn. I was really young too but I had been on motion rides a bit in other parks and they were my favorites so I already knew the deal. I wish I didn't tho lol. I would have loved to think I was legit in space.
I remember doing this too. I have a set of action figures from the ride. Darth Vader, two Sky Troopers(stormtroopers with jet packs), and Boba Fett. Oh, and Vader’s hover platform.
I'm a 90's kid, the original Star Tours, Rocket Jets, Autotopia, Matterhorn, Space Mountain, and the People Mover that then became the discontinued Rocket Rods were so much fun. Even the original Submarines were dank, oh well, things change just memories now.
I only came to see this because I love how fast Darth Vader is when the ship pull out the blasters and he gets his lightsaber out to block the blasts. Freaking awesome
Since they're going to build a Star Wars Land, they should relocate this attraction to the location, then they could put in a new attraction in that location.
I remember one time I was on this ride, and during the underwater city scene from episode 1, Jar Jar Binks appeared on the screen, and my dad yelled, "Shoot him!" right there, and everyone on the ride at the time could not stop laughing. Best moment at a Disney park EVER!!
Even though I love the new version, I still kind of miss this one. I grew up with this and this will always be the Star Tours I know and love, but I am open to the new versions and they are remarkable.
What happened to this one... I saw a few videos of other Star Tours but this one looked the best !!!! Where can I go so I can go on this one ???? I went on the original back in 1988
If anyone has Disney+ , I HIGHLY suggest watching 'Behind the Attraction - Star Tours' (original)..so in depth on how they pulled it off....as well as the other famous attractions in Disneyland in various episodes. 😀
:O I REMEMBER GETTING THAT ONE! WHEN I WENT ON THE RIDE I GOT THE POD RACE ONE! Its been years since i been on that ride, becoz i keep going to universal studios
this ride only makes me dizzy when the light speed happens like in 3:52 LOL! but it's overall a better improvement too. When Darth vader stops the ship feels like if he is and real too.
This is the first ride I rode as well, gave me motion sickness and was completely different now. Themed around the new Star wars trilogy. Still has r2d2 and c3po though.
I've ridden this close to a HUNDRED times and I've just noticed something new! When Vader says, "Prepare to be boarded, captain", Threepio begins saying, "I'm afraid there has been a terrible mistake. I am See-..." and Vader cuts him off. If Threepio had said his full designation, Vader would have known the droid HE BUILT was piloting the starspeeder.
I went on this when I was 5 or 6 and I got scared when the robots appeared. I cried and me and my family left the ride. Now I am 17 and I regret it every moment of my life. I want to go back and redeem myself... I want to go back!
Isn’t that funny? I board this ride when I was your age before it underwent refurbished changes. Please forgive me for sounding like a parent. Are you really an adolescent? Just curious!
Went on this in Disneyland and got wayyyy travel sick.. But still looking toward to visiting this one at Disney world in October.. I'll take travel pills... Haha
This ride rules! It re-opened 🔟 years in June. May the force be with you. I like the underwater scene, pod racing scene, 🌨 scene and 🏟 scene on ⭐ Tours 2️⃣: The Adventures Continue very much, because they're based on nature. I'm a nature person even though ⭐ Tours is my favorite ride based on the space opera franchise, ⭐ Wars. Captain Rex DOES appear in his box on this ride that I really enjoy boarding with my parents and everyone else who joins us when COVID-19 no longer enters the picture. I'm glad that the 3️⃣ of us weren't Rebel Spies. It's just a joke for heaven's sake. Believe me, it's 👌🏻 to like the same scene. The secret about the underwater scene is that I dream about going underwater for business trips or have the ability to breathe in that environment using the Bubble Head Charm from Harry Potter as a way to recreate the franchise that J.K. Rowling made from her imagination in the same way I do it as my made up good/evil half-blood 🧙🏻♀️ character, Hope Estrella Feelgood-Potter-Malfoy-Riddle when she’s competing in the Tri-Wizard Tournament in the other sequel of my novel, “Hope Feelgood and the Goblet of 🔥.”
I just had a great idea for a star tours show, a mini-series each centering around one of the planets shown in the ride, each episode starting with a first person shot going through the star tours spaceport
Do you guys know what's cool? I went to Disneyland a few years ago, I was 5, yes..... I'm 10 now.... I remember that robot at 1:35 saying "Hey Vincent! I remember you from last time!" Some of you might think it's fake but it is real.
This is such a good ride there is 40 different scenarios this ride is fun for everyone even the line is fun not gunna lie and if you couldn’t tell it’s 3-D
Last week they told us that no recording was allowed. So I suppose you ignored the rule. The video is blurry since the movie is in 3-D and you need the special glasses.
+DrewieStewie In Disneyland California, it'll be come in December 2024. Part of FrontierLand will be torn down to create access paths for people. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will stay as promised. Look on the park registry site if you get a chance to do so.
It kinda does. Basically, you start off with C3PO accidentally captaining the ship, then the Empire finds a 'rebel spy' on your ship. You get away from the Empire by going to light speed towards a random planet, then once you get out of there you get a transmission from the Rebel Alliance, they send you coordinates to another planet and that is where your spy gets off safely. This is the main story, although the different planets and random happenings make the story more interesting.
3:56 silly star tours, this isn't doctor who. you aren't even a tardis. [if you don't get the joke, the lightspeed effect looks just like the doctor who time vortex]
WHY DID THEY LET YOU RECORD?! i went and wanted to record on star tours and had a GoPro and they told me to put it away! i was in the front row of the ride too so it was perfect for recording
my gopro fits in the palm of my hand. i couldnt read the signs because im short and there was a giant in front of me, and no one would be quiet and were basicly screaming in my ear so i couldnt hear anything
I know that when I went to Disney World all the time in the 90s, we recorded practically every dark ride without any problems. Maybe it has to do with this particular kind of ride.
All i gotta say is I've been on this ride several times and it's definitely worth the wait.
Alicia Cleeland I went during the fireworks there was no wait in any of the lands I always miss the fireworks to go on space mountain 4 times in a row
The wait isn’t that bad considering there is so much to look at
Yes!!!
Is it a roller coaster or is it like the avatar ride?
Same I liked it when I first went to Disneyland lol.
I remember this ride, I legit thought we were actually doing this. I was young, I didn't know better, lol.
x ? Same
i thought the ride was a car that drove around a room to give the acceleration feeling LOL
same!
When your face shows on the screen: I'M THE SPY!
Lol it was me once
I *KNEW* it!
“nO yOu DiD nOt”
Those robots and animatronics are remarkable!
Fearatix Agreed!! Amazing!!
Fearatix some are from America sings
I'm a 90's kid, the original Star Tours, Rocket Jets, Autotopia, Matterhorn, Space Mountain, and the People Mover that then became the discontinued Rocket Rods were so much fun. Even the original Submarines were dank, oh well, things change just memories now.
Disney didn’t but Lucasfilm until 2012. You a time traveler?!
I only came to see this because I love how fast Darth Vader is when the ship pull out the blasters and he gets his lightsaber out to block the blasts. Freaking awesome

Tony parra agreed
Tony parra Smart idea pal! 🤖
That would be kind of hard
It was built in 1985, and is a vital part of Tommorowland. It should be left where it is. Plus that would be super difficult.
Tony parra No
I remember one time I was on this ride, and during the underwater city scene from episode 1, Jar Jar Binks appeared on the screen, and my dad yelled, "Shoot him!" right there, and everyone on the ride at the time could not stop laughing. Best moment at a Disney park EVER!!
I think I went on this ride 5-6 times during our week long trip to Disneyland. Loved it.
Even though I love the new version, I still kind of miss this one. I grew up with this and this will always be the Star Tours I know and love, but I am open to the new versions and they are remarkable.
The original version was my favorite
What happened to this one... I saw a few videos of other Star Tours but this one looked the best !!!! Where can I go so I can go on this one ???? I went on the original back in 1988

Canlar neredesiniz?
“Thank you for riding Star Tours.. BUH BYE!”😂
Now everyone says that's every time.
Went on this yesterday. My son had a blast. Love the new story line. Had a different one when I was little ;)
Lol - Yes it did.
If anyone has Disney+ , I HIGHLY suggest watching 'Behind the Attraction - Star Tours' (original)..so in depth on how they pulled it off....as well as the other famous attractions in Disneyland in various episodes. 😀
that is so cool. this ride has a new ending.
thank you for the awesome memories Orlando 2003, 2004, & 2009 is when i went.
I like to believe this is cannon, like this is how artoo and c3p0 ended up with the rebellion after episode 3.
Nerd Philosopher artoo or R2?
@@lunahetfield he can't spell R2D2 not a nerd lol
it might be canon but I never saw a cannon.
Lisa Fuqua i seen an official Star Wars cartoon that spellled it like that calm down jeeez
@@lunahetfield artoo is how it's spelled in the novels.
I went to Disneyland when I was 9 I went on that ride, I would love to go back 1 day! I've also been to Disneyworld!
Wow out of all the combinations for this ride
You were unlucky getting jar jar 😂😂
6rooroo I know, it's like Phantom Menace the ride.
6rooroo when i went on that ride i think i got jar jar and i liked it, i was the few people who liked jar jar binks :3
6rooroo rather see jar jar again than go to jakku or crait.
I rode that I thought I was gonna be scared but it turns out I loved the ride that was my favorite ride at Disney world!!
Same
OMG LITERALLY SAME!
I Do not have seizures, but this ride effed me up. I passed out on it until the end. My husband had to hold me up
One of my favorite ride lines to wait in! It's so cool and interesting to see everything in this specific line.
The first time I ever rode this ride was with my dad. I was probably 7-9 and I was the rebel spy (in all of my bibbidi bobbidi boutique glory)
This is my favorite ride at Disneyland! C-3PO and R2-D2 are my favorite characters!
I remember doing this every time I went to Disneyland when I was little!!!
:O I REMEMBER GETTING THAT ONE! WHEN I WENT ON THE RIDE I GOT THE POD RACE ONE! Its been years since i been on that ride, becoz i keep going to universal studios

This ride was awesome I still remember when they were constructing it and I was like I wonder what that’s going to be
This is my favorite ride in Disneyland I love it

The second time I went to Disneyland this has been my most favourite ride
I remember I thought this was going to be scary at first but then I went on and I had a blast

I love c3po how was flying the ship I normally call him the golden tin can 😃😃😃😂😂😂
They should make a Disneyland in Canada...
Carsøn Dylan I agree with you . I think Vancouver would be a good place
Carsøn Dylan Lets spread the magic!! 🏰 🎇
Toronto, they’ve already announced it. 6.5 billion dollars.
They can’t build a Disney park in places with seasonal snowfall and frequent poor weather
This ride was great last time I went! =)
I miss the old one.

My mom was the rebel spy
Clayton Cool!

I went on this ride i just got off and i felt like i was moving and the glasses look funny
the cheering is bigger compared to japan and it makes me feel happy:-)
I prefer Japan where people are respectful.
Each time you go on it its different because when i was 3 i was on chewbacca island but now when i went on it it was a city a star wars city!!
Kinda weird 3CP0 is talking to his creator
I can't believe the battle on Naboo is still going on during the original trilogy.
I mean I love this ride it's cool
It seems mucher better than Star Tours at Disneyland Paris.... it's the same since 1995 --'
There closing it later this year to reopen with the new one next year
+DrewieStewie what about star wars land?
im talking about paris star tours closing for "the adventures continue". star wars land, its coming, but when is unknown

Awesome!!! I ride it too.....
You almost the rebel spy
So cool
Wait, what happened to the crystal cave and the Death Star run??
That was the old version. The new incarnation has MULTIPLE possible scenarios.
Since Disney own Star Wars and Marvel and they're gonna make Star Wars Land....How long is it for Marvel Land to be made?
Gonzo : oh shit darth Vader
3:56 silly star tours, this isn't doctor who. you aren't even a tardis. [if you don't get the joke, the lightspeed effect looks just like the doctor who time vortex]
Family Guy did it.

WHY DID THEY LET YOU RECORD?! i went and wanted to record on star tours and had a GoPro and they told me to put it away! i was in the front row of the ride too so it was perfect for recording
Maybe you have to ask them permission beforehand, and maybe they'll let you
he probably has a small camera and hid it
my gopro fits in the palm of my hand. i couldnt read the signs because im short and there was a giant in front of me, and no one would be quiet and were basicly screaming in my ear so i couldnt hear anything
