@@ArhBird And that’s why I personally prefer this album out of all metallica albums, the songwriting credits were for Cliff’s own bass contributions instead of being mostly for the guitar melodies (RTL)
This is actually a really great mix. You can hear the bass and more importantly its sound fits well with the guitar. It sounds like they are cooperating and not "fighting for space".
You must be a fairly new Metallican referring to your comment saying (go cliff) that bassist is not with us any longer so that being said (rip mr burton) we miss you like crazy and I wish you were still shredding the bass guitar on stage with kirk, james,& lars.
Master of puppets is the greatest album metal of all time. It needs nothing at all done to it brother. From lyrics and composition to Arrangements. Performance. Tempo. Tuning. Levels. Mastering and mix. All of it was just groundbreaking.
That's your opinion. The bass is very quiet on Master of Puppets. Some of us PREFER the loud bass mixes actually, and think it's better. It's good that you think the original is better, but to me and quite a lot of other people, that's not true.
I honestly had no idea how good Cliff was until I heard this. They have him turned down so much in the mix. His finger picking top notch! Such a huge loss. Imagine what their future albums would have sounded like if he was still alive.
Yes, and it is amazing how tight his arrangement is with the drums, the guy not only cared about melodies and counterpoint; he also focused on how tight the rhythm section would be. Too bad Flemming Rasmussen wasn't too keen on foundational mixes, it was mostly guitar-driven.

It's amazing to hear Cliff's bass so clearly. Welcome home is one of my favorite songs ever and hearing Cliff’s bass so loud makes it awesome. Thanks for sharing this version. Cliff is more alive than ever in my heart. Love you Cliff.
Outstanding! Thank you! Just discovered your channel and am grateful for your masterful remixes. Really wish I could listen to all the tracks as you’ve done them. The full talents can be appreciated truly in how you’ve arranged these tracks. Superb work.

Cliff tone is complicated, I think it's too invasive, any time I hear a loud bass version of a song it sounds cool but strange Or maybe it's the guitars not leaving room for anything else but guitars
Never realized how much Cliff carried the melody during the verse riffs. Every album should be remixed this way...
He introduced them and taught them about melodies and harmonies, cliff went to college to study music
Cliff was the only one in the band who had classical music education

Thanks, GreenFors! \m/
3:43 I never knew Cliff was hitting the octaves like that. that's awesome. Also 5:06 that bass ripping. fuck yeah! go Cliff!!

@@steveapodaca5898 I’m aware Cliff died. His music lives on. That’s what I was referring to. I’ve been a fan since Master of Puppets came out.

I agree. I've always heard cliff loud and clear. This is cool however. It was injustice that wasn't greatly mixed in my opinion.
You said it best brotha
Its not even the best Metallica album😂 but ok…

When I hear these songs with the boosted bass it feels like I'm listening to them for the first time

Alex Tamulis Man! I can't believe that you can hardly find him on video, at least good quality video.
It's criminal how they made him so inaudible
if you cant hear bass on MOP you have big ear problems
Listening to more stuff like this gives you a better sense of being able to hear it
This song gets a totally different level with the bass totally audible.

Why did they turn Cliff down to wtf. He was amazing
Seems to be a common practice around theirs...
Because Lars and James wanted to be heard more than anybody else.
I can always hear cliff. It was jason they turned down
James doesn’t like low end

This sounds amazing. Metallica should do this for the next album lol.
Bass is like sex
The louder the better hahaha:)
Wrong. Bass is better
Nice man. Your versions sound great!
Thanks a lot, Eye!
metallica has lost their energy when cliff Burton died smh omg this sounds good
Lamont Arnold ever heard Seattle 89
dude, cliff gave them the soul but jason gave them that fucking volcanic energy
I heavily disagree. They lost their energy when Jason left. Dude was a live wire on stage.
Cliff has that dam bass thundering!!!!!
Thank you very much for this!!!
RIP Cliff
God BLESS CLIFF BURTON SAW THAT AMAZING HUMAN BEING 4x in 2years...He was amazing...This is awesome version of the this SONG
Great work!!! I’ve listened to a handful of your tracks and you have really killed it! It’s clean and really brings out the mood of the songs.
Reminds me of the good old days hanging out with James and Cliff in LA..🤘🏻

Thank you, Hernando!
perfect bro

WOW
Cliff was the only bass player that could play stuff that fit in Metallica's sound. Pity he wasn't a bit louder.
RIP Cliff and his dad...

That means a lot, thank you CMS!
Way enjoyable than listen to some average song of AZKi.
So much better with the base enhanced.
Kirk is also loud
♥️♥️🏆🏆

That's why Metallica became mediocre after cliff died and when Jason left.....
The mixing is not good at last part.🙂
