      I do have a follow up question - as far as the companies Pic Time uses to print - do you have suggestions? I don't know which one to choose. SOS!

      Hej Kiana :) It depends much on where you are situated. For me with mainly European market it was either Flori Color or Loxley Colour, these were the only ones that offer everything that I wanted to sell :) So I guess fewer suppliers could be fewer chaos :)

    Thank you so much for making a true description and tutorial of what Pic-Time is and how to use it. I’ve been in the market for a while about finding a good all around site to sell my work on. I really really appreciate what you did with this video... Side note I will defiantly be picking up some of your work. Gotta have something nice and relaxing and cold looking out here in Hawaii!

    Good info here Till! been looking for something like this. Big question though... Do you get any traction selling your prints, and how do you go about marketing it?

    • @tilldaling
      @tilldaling  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's more about reaching back to people you worked with in the beginning (probably also with the client galleries) they should be the first movers. As soon as that covers the cost then the one or other IG sale will come :) But of course only the future will tell...

      Just that and obviously max quality. As we are not know which product it ends up with (if you offer different ones), I'm not sharpening it. If you know you might only want matt or glossy paper, you decide that upfront :)

    • @tilldaling
      @tilldaling  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      With Malamutes, it's always time for a walk :D I would't think there is a way that atm as you are choosing the lab you are working with for each product. It's just about checking back in. For me it's more a problem with differences in shipping cost. So I'm considering making one europe and one US store ):

    I wonder how this works for clients that are international. I noticed that in setting up the products you are choosing a specific print shop, which is possibly not based in the same country as your client. Is everything printed in the US and then shipped around the world?

    What I've not been able to find for certain:
    Is Pic-time only a selling service? Or is it also used for displaying your portfolio to prospective clients? Also, does this provide a domain? Or is it their domain + your name

    • @tilldaling
      @tilldaling  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hej mate, I'm also using it as a portfolio :) The domain will also be like tilldaling.pic-time.com/art, so if you don't mind to send that URL to your clients, you're good to go. I also embedded it in my website tho, www.tilldaling.com/prints/#!/art?headless=true

    It's frustrating they wouldn't just add all the options to the add to cart menu as buyers should be able to check out all options before making a purchase.. Not to mention their pull down of that tab looks overwhelming. When they should just break it down by type Ie :Canvas,Metal then show the sizes and prices/. But other than that it looks like a good site especially with website integration.

  • @matthoffman6962

    So here’s the biggest thing with pic time. It’s the shipping. Shipping a 5x7 is about $10 cdn. To ship a calendar it’s $14.99 cdn. How can you sell a calendar for $30 +14.99. No one will buy it.

    • @tilldaling
      @tilldaling  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I fully agree that the shipping can be a bit tricky! I experienced that myself if geographically it's not matching the producer. Thought about writing a mail for an automation of choosing the cheapest producer based on the country location :) Let's see how that goes :)
