Yes, horseshoe beach, Steinhatchee and Dowling Park area is devastated and quite a few of us were out of power until very recently. Love the little boat and mangrove series! Keep up the great work brother!
I used to live in Key West and the Lower Keys between 1978 and 1981. We used to go out to the Marquesas Keys and snorkel to spear fish for giant snapper in the cuts. They were so spooky you had to literally hold your breath, lock and load just wait for one to move in front of your spear gun.
The fish darting in and out would be quite challenging Im sure. Excellent use of the whole fish to get the greatest yield, looked great. As for Madalin wanting to watch her diet, not necessary She is going to make a lovely bride. I like the chemistry the two of you have.
I'm a new subscriber.. def' love your videos.. soo bummed we lost Jimmy Buffet... been a PA based parrot-head for years... gonna so different with no more hearing him at the Camden Riverfront stadium... if you are a parrot-head.. ya get it.. if not.. you soo missed out... all day event in 115', 20 acres of NJ asphalt jungle, $10 beers, the port-o-potties over flowing by 11 am but .. TOTALLY worth it for the experience... God Bless JB... and you all too.

I think when it's really hot out fish like to be on wind-blown sides because the small chop it produces helps aerate the water, high temps suck the dissolved o2 out of the water

I envy you living the life. My first trip down was to Big Pine Key, 1981. I got my PADI certification. Several more trips over the years sailing through as my Father was a yacht Captain. My son is in the Coast Guard and was stationed in Key West in 17'/18'. Stayed at the Navy Gateway Inn for $65 a night on two trips for Lobster season. Lot's of memories..... Would luv to drop out and make it home.
Love the mangroves been fishing for them since I was maybe 10 years old out of Sebastian inlet caught my biggest to date 13 lbs 29 inches earlier this year September a good month going after them again hope to get good weather your videos are really good 1st time responding congratulations on your marriage

I do mangrove fishing all the time that is where the fish is in my area, something that work good for me is to have the sun behind me you can see better and camouflage me you can get the fish to come very close when visibility is bad
It's so crazy that Florida has different rules for different places. It's got to be confusing for the regular folks and the FWC grouper troopers. I'm sure honest mistakes are common. Man I bet the ceviche on fresh tortillas tostadas was awesome. I made some shark ceviche recently and it was amazing.

And in far north Queensland where I'm now on the boat there's man eating crocs so no one is In the water here , just rod fishing!
