I totally get what you mean! The reason I don’t change my dolls names is because I feel like I would just confuse people and I would just always call them their original names anyway.
From a collector standpoint you refer to your collection as “I have a Mia, I have a joss” but in stop motions and play you would normally use your dolls name that you created. So it’s difficult balancing the two

I can relate to what happened to Ryan. I got my 67, Clara and only one day after she came out of the box BAM! FELL ON HER SIDE. She got a scuff mark on the side of her face near her ear and I cried for 2 days until I realized I could fix it. Lol 😂😆

I’m so interested in the benefit sale, but will likely never be able to make it up to Madison at that time of year. Have you ever had someone pick up a benefit sale doll for you? How did you find someone to do that?
I have! I knew a collector who was road tripping it since we had met at a meetup earlier. It worked out well since they could bring back more with a car than on a plane. Oddly enough, we met in a target parking lot (halfway between the two of us) and exchanged the dolls there. You could ask online if people can pick you up a doll but it’s much easier to find people you already know who are going. Good luck!

I don’t really have recommendations because my name style is different than yours. I like to look up baby name websites and make a list of my favourites. Also styling the doll and taking photos of them (like putting on clothing I would dress my dolls in) helps me come up with a name because you aren’t just looking at a stock photo doll in clothing that isn’t my style
Actually, 12 of them are dolls of color.. that’s half my collection. Victoria, Ahren, Raelynn, Ryan, Kiona, Masie, Devyn, Naia, Cerie, Alana, Kanani and Karina are all dolls of color.
