Thank you 😊 I am so glad the days are starting to get longer and seeing some growth from the spring bulbs is getting me motivated to spend time in the garden again. The hellebores are interesting as well, first time I have grown them.
I live in East London, and my garden has very heavy clay soil. Some of the tulips I planted last year seem to be returning. For the new spring bulbs, especially tulips, I dug a hole, removed the clay, and filled it with John Innes No. 3 and farmyard manure. it is very tiring an costly.
Thank you for watching and for your comment. Yes I think the clay soil is as much of an issue as the north facing aspect. I am thinking if the tulips don’t do well then I will just have to have them in pots going forward.
Happy 2025!! Soon your garden will be alive and beautiful again. Looking forward to seeing the progress.
