Your video was right on time for me. I have exactly the same problem with my Exmark with 2 stuck blade bolts. I considered using a cheater and your tip with using a box end wrench sure is helpful.. Thank you for the video and may the Lord bless and keep you.
Thanks! Now trying to remember if I have a 24mm wrench. 🤔 The first bolt I tried came off easily with the 1/2" impact wrench. The next two bolts just laughed at me. I will now try your technique. Looks very promising! Thanks again!
Well I be damn, I’ve been out here ALL DAY jackhammering this stuck bolt on my Ferris Z1 with my Dewalt impact socket driver and the damn thing wouldn’t budge. I sprayed WD40, breakfree, and all.. still nothing! So I decided to search TH-cam for some tips, and here you are. Stock some wood on that bad boy like you said and BOOM, that joker came loose in 2 seconds flat! Thanks for helping, I was lost in the sauce🤣
Took mine to the dealer and had some service done while they were doing another repair I asked them to replace the blades he did and this last year I went to sharpen them and decided they should be taken off for the sharping. When I went to bust them loose, I didn't get anywhere with the impact so I tried a socket with a 3/4" drive breaker bar no difference. Went with the block of wood and a boxed end wrench and a cheater pipe and broke the wood and bent the wrench and cheater pipe. Any ideas I was thinking of a long chain to hold the blade and went from an 1/8" wall pipe to some really heavy duty pipe from a heat exchanger that I plan to weld the wench and pipe into one. And hopefully this works otherwise I have to go out of state to see if the old fart that put them on is still breathing and have him do it
No and I'll tell you I try to Pride bar I didn't try the right one and I just left the blade on it and double cut it I'm trying to pull them off now with a longer prybar
I’m only at 140. It only happens after the blade strikes something tightening it down very hard. Sometimes the bolt breaks so don’t know how much a few extra PSI would make
@@sclawns5257 ok I see what you're saying. I wonder if you have a 1/2 inch pry bar and a 6 point 15/16 impact socket. Looks like that would work better than a box end rinch
@@sclawns5257 I was dealing with this this morning which is why I was watching the videos on removing blades. I did lawn care for almost 20 years, but I never had this happen before. It would not come off with the impact driver either. Anyways, I finally just took a torch to the bolt and heated it up and then put the impact on it and it came right off.
You can use gasoline and bearn the mower up. I did tie my mower behind my truck and pull it down the highway for a hour. But the blade never came off. Not that I'm suggesting that. Because the law put me in jail for doing it. But it sure was funny 😂. The law would not have said anything, but the mower broke loose and hit the police car.
This is beyond the point most people get discouraged. Thanks for showing the whole thing so we know what to expect.

Thanks. I like using the wrench to keep the torque force in alignment.

Wow that was one tight bolt .

I’ve never hear of it this extreme but worst case scenario is that you have to get a new spindle.
Thank you so much my friend- the wood did the trick for me and I wouldn’t have thought of that
Lol I hit a piece of steel in the yard thanks for this really helps
Thanks my man.
Bless…
Have you tried using a cutting torch. I have used my bear hands before.
I.carnt get mine off the bolt is rounded and I've got new bolt remvers still it slips of thanks 👍 enyway Dave thanks
Thanks for your help
Cool. Good luck. Don’t bust a knuckle. Are you going to GIE this year?
@@sclawns5257 no I'm not going to Gia this year there's just too much sickness here

I have a 3/4 inch impact wrench. And a 175 psi air supply. I have never had any problems getting bolts off.

@@sclawns5257 do you have some guy who works for you named Bubba the gorilla 🦍 who has forearms the size of 55 gallon drums.
What do you do when you block the blade and when you turn the bolt the blade season place, but the entire spindle still turns?
I have never had that happen but might be able to hold the pulley

well done man, thank you
Mine stuck hard as well why they made them to get stuck like this. It sucks
I use a 1/4 socket rinch.
