Holy smokes! I’ve finally found a light, strong, and fireproof material with promise for retrofitting my California home against wildfires! I’ve been looking at fiber cement but it still transfers heat - foamcrete sounds amazing!
I worked for a company is southeast Michigan that pumped this lightweight concrete. This stuff has been around a long time. We used a product called E____________ to make the foam we injected into concrete. This was mixed into a nine sack grout mix in a concrete truck. We then used piston pumps to pump it through two inch hoses. It was poured on plywood at one and a half inches thick. After it set up it was troweled. This was a floor underlayment intended to be covered with a floor good. The purpose of it was for sound proofing and fire protection on second and third floors of apartments and condos and other types of buildings.

Just came across your video... what you did with panelized foamcrete is a vision of mine almost 30 years when in Costa Rica on a volunteer trip... super cool to see someone bring to life what I thought was possible a long time ago. Great job my friend... very impressed!
Think you could put truck bed liner spray in your foam maker? It'd be great to seal and protect those aircrete panels if you could... Just spray it in the outside of the building and smooth with a trowel... Or something... Military has found that multiple layers inside a concrete and/or cinder block building can stop spalling from penetrative impacts. Even if the bullet penetrates, the wall fragments are stopped and the wall retains it's integrity due to the bed liner sheathing... Foaming it up might make it even cushier... Just a thought. Plasticized foam protective layer... What with concrete's brittleness....
I won't deny your aircrete held up in your furnace. I would have thought the bubbles in the concrete would cause the air pockets to expand and blast the outside of the concrete apart. So the outside would just keep flaking away as each layer would be blown apart. I guess I was wrong on my assumption. Great videos! I think will be viewing all your videos about aircrete and see about building my own shed!
I would like to see your span test without the metal stud frame. If poured in a mold they could be made T&G for a locking fit. Also a crush test would be nice to see. Just some ideas. Keep up the good work.
Back in the early eighties I work for a company that did swimming pools and we're used to mix Portland cement and zonolite and we would trial the pool out there was places it was 2 3 4 in thick but they would turn around and let it sit and then they put a rubber liner in it and I always knew it had to be pretty stout to handle all that water pressure cool job thumbs up
