Half of the hooks landed when the enemies dash away were a mix between skill and Riot Games's 200+ collective years of game design hitbox system.
Honestly though...Thresh's hook is the worst skill expressive spell in the game
@@kahinaoftheelements4845 All hooks are broken in some way. While Blitz or Naut's hooks can hit you through minions, monsters and other allies, Pyke's hook can pierce you and still not hit you.
@@knolivato couldn't agree more...I for some reason am hooked up on Thresh's hook hitbox because it's just so luck-based that you can grab anyone from any distance while invisible,untargetable,out of limit

I agree that riots hitboxes are often very questionable but there are multiple very skillful predictions on ezreal es and such that are purely awesome gameplay that should be recognised

I disagree actually, predictions depends on elo. I'm way better predicting what a platinum player would do rather a bronze one. They don't think. They are literally walking on a straight line while you chase them, and as someone who tries to predict movement I can't fucking hook them. It's impossible. You have to forget everything you were used to.

@@victorzoela7879 What I mostly meant is that it doesn't really have to do with reaction. Most people would move the same way to dodge a skillshot. She's not "reacting fast" precisely because she's not reading their movement while they do it but before they even do it. It's mostly game knowledge and understanding the situation rather than her reacting quickly. She knows what's going to happen before they move. That's the definition of a prediction. Has nothing to do with reflexes. In my opinion at least. :)
