Fall 2000 was such a great swan song heading into hiatus... This set crushed, but so did the 110 minute plus 1st set. The Fluffhead > Curtian With > Chalkdust to close that long 1st set was as good as it gets. So many highlights @ MPP 2000... The whole 2nd set is a clinic though. Rock & Roll > Theme > Dog Log is one of my favorite jams in what is now 350 shows and counting, as is the ensuing Mango. Seek all of these out online, they are NOT to be missed.
This is one of my favorite Phish moments of 2000. Right up there with the 6.29.00 PNC Bank: Meatstick->Cities->Walk Away->Antelope Madness. Just amazing the way they take this Theme out for a walk in the park and stumble upon a Dog Log
I’m finding out tonight I lost a dear friend I met on summer tour 2000. His birthday was 7/1 (listened to the hartford bug you posted) We all went to this show together, too. Had a big reunion and a party in a cornfield first night. Another friend from that group is also gone. And now they’re back together. I love this and I am so grateful for this late night early morning memory shared with my dear dear sweet friend who is gone far too soon. “But keep what’s important, and know who’s your friend” 💜🥲
