I purchased one of these bags for a trip to Buenos Aires. Neither my hopper flight in a 737, nor my seat in premium economy could I fit this bag under the seat in front of me. I had to choose to either leave it where I was or pack it inside my checked bag in order to get it home! Hi@@lauriemarsh6600!, I'm so sorry to hear that. Did you check the personal item sizes for these airlines, since some of them have the electrical running under the seat, and even small bags will not fit underneath.

Hi @kryssygee4814 ! Smart move and I am glad I could be of some help! Now don't forget to always check the airline's personal item size, but I have found that for most domestic carriers I could use my underseat roller.
Hi @rachelhayes6246 ! Both will go under the seat on almost all domestic flights. You should always check with the airlines before to make sure that the bag will fit.
Hi@clericiranchI The only measurement that mattered with these two bags was the width, since the other two measurements are at or under. They both measured as 8 inches in depth when fully filled, but I know as a fact that although Frontier says they take 8, their baggage cage is a bit smaller than Spirit. That being said, these are soft body bags and a bit soft so I would say yes to both, but a trip to the airport is worth it., if you are taking Frontier.
I used the Kroser on a recent trip to Italy. All the pockets became irritating because I would forget which pocket I put what in. You can over pack it to the point the width is over the size allotted. Mine didn't fit under the seat.
@@conniekershaw4412we may be a minority, but I really REALLY do not like a lot of pockets. I forget what’s in which pocket. I do use clear plastic bags of all sizes-there are a lot of really small ones-to hold items together and see inside. But the fewer pockets the better, for me.

HI @conniekershaw4412! The number of pockets is something that is user dependent, especially when using it as a personal item. How much one stuffs it will depend on if it fits under the seat, but I know that if you are not over stuffing it, it will fit under the seat. Thanks for your input!
Love your trick with the shoes and brush!! I initially purchased the Kroser but the handle stuck! The replacement handle also stuck! I’m thinking of repurchasing and having a luggage store replace the handles? I may try the black one!
Hi @cdewey5115 I'm glad the trick is working for you! As for the Krosner, I'm kind of shocked. That being said, give the other one a try. I really liked both.
Thank you...for me..i kroser one better. It didn't look stuffed and seemed easier to close. The only question ..or suggestion i have...can..did...u measure the bags once they were packed to make sure the dimensions did in fact stay in lines to go under the seat.
HI @marybrady6934!I did measure them filled and the Krosner bag remained the same size, and because I tried to stuff the Luggex it did develop a bit of a bump that made it the same size as the Kroser bag. I hope that helps!
@@PerriesPassport Seemed to me like, in the Luggex, you should have folded the jeans and packed them higher (or lower, can't remember) because there was more room there (higher or lower, can't remember). That might have mitigated the "Bump".
Hi Perrie, Nice demonstration of the underseaters. I just ordered the LUGGEX. I have not been a big traveler in my lifetime, so I don't know a lot about types of luggage and accessories. But, now that I am getting closer to retirement age, I am ready to do some traveling and am planning a trip to Ireland! Could you give me any traveling tips and recommendations? Also, would you show us how you pack the compression cubes, and do you press out the extra air? I only want to pack a carry-on and underseater for my trip and need tips on fitting the most items in. Thanks!
Hi @mbwelsh65 G;ad to hear that you are going out to see some new exciting places.First of all, I hope you are using the LUGGEX as your personal item and or a short trip bag. You are allowed both a carry on and the luggex for longer trips, like Ireland.(you're going to love Ireland). No matter what time of year you are depending on going, make sure you check the weather a week before you go, to make sure you are packing right. Also, I did a whole video on how to pack with packing cubes here: th-cam.com/video/6ZV908liPLk/w-d-xo.html Compression cubes do all the work for pressing the air out. If you are using compression cubes, I find that either flat packing or a single layer of rolled clothes works the best. Otherwise, compression cubes become too hard to compress. I personally use both, regular packing cubes and compression packing cubes since i think they serve different purposes. I have an upcoming video about packing to the max with just a carry-on, so keep on the lookout for that.. Hope this helps a bit.
Hi @cindywarner7945 The Kroser 16x12x7 so I would suggest not buying that bag if you only use United. I'm shocked that there personal item size is so small. Most allow 18x14x8. Sorry I don't have better news for you.
Hi @pandarush. almost all bags have a zipper there, although some bags have the zipper the reverse way around. 2 out of my 3 carry ons have the zipper with easy access. The third one doesn't so what I did is push the zipper down a bit and then used a twist wire to make a pull.
Hi. I invested in the Krosner bag...little disappointed because if you sit in an isle seat, doesn't fit underneath...defeated purpose of just walking off the plane...10/6/24
Thank you for sharing this. I have a bag similar to this but different brand from Amazon same size and everything is it gonna be in the way if you pack your shoes and stuff underneath like when you pull the handle out to be able to roll up the case? Because I’ve seen this happen before, and I didn’t want it to interfere or break the handle. Others have not said anything about the concern I have.
Hi @malindamocha5100! I made sure to pack under the main rod, so that it won't interfere with the handles. I am sure that there are difference between bags, but I tried it on my Away bag, and it worked the same way. But it is a concern and something that people should take into consideration.
Hi @user-qr5og5gg6i. The bags were really amazing quality. I was quite impressed. The Kroser bag weighs 3.5 lbs, and the Luggex bag weighs 4.5, which is kind of odd, since it seemed like the smaller bag.
@@PerriesPassport I like the kroser bag but going to asia the weight limit is 15 lbs or 7 kg . I took the 17 in lovebook bag last year on Philippines airline it's hard to carry around the airport with a 12 lbs bag that's why I am looking of getting a rolling bag
Hi@@PilarFrancisco-Saguil The Lovevook 17 inch bag comes in at 2 lbs and the Kroser comes in at 3.65 lbs. So for about 1.5 lbs more, it's worth it to save your back. I think you would still make the weight limit, given that if you deduct the weight of the Lovevook you had 10 lbs of stuff, and if you add the Krosner you would come in at about 13.5 lbs and it won't be on your back.
HI, @linbasdeo6108 both bags came in under 15 lbs full, but that is with my pack. Also, personal items tend not to be weighed, especially if they are your only item.
Hi @follywood2 ! I actually tested both bags full (and you can see that with the second bag), and they both rolled super smooth. but when I went to do the editing of the video, the footage of the first bag was gone, so I just reshot it the way it was, since I had already done it in real life and knew that the bag was fine. But kudos! You have sharp eyes. Btw, I ended up keeping that first bag.
by the time you finished packing the first bag there was no way that still met the size requirements with all you put in there. Also you showed rolling it empty. Both bags way thicker than 8 or 9 inches. Could be fine if you were paying for a carryon and put it in the overhead bins. Under the seats? I doubt it, in the sizers, I doubt it Neither bag you packed was the bag you actually showed going under the seat and it certainly wasn't packed as jammed packed full
Hi @tamaracarlson4290 I'd like to address your concerns. I tested the Kroser bag in the sizers and it did fit in the sizers. Video does do something to distort the size. And proof that it fits, is in the comments below by people who own the bag, or check the links to the bags to see actual photos of the bag fitting under seats with plenty of room, so don't just take my word. The bag I showed in the beginning of the video was just never meant to imply it was one of those bags, that is why I picked a video that was obviously not one of those bags. It's just a B roll for those who never traveled or put things under their seat (and there are a lot of people like that, so I don't assume anything). Finally, as for the rolling, I just was testing out if the wheels were smooth and the handles worked well. I never implied that the bags were full. I hope this clears up any of your concerns.
Hi, @barbaraschmidt5062! BA is even worse. When it comes to personal item size, you have to be very careful since they do change from airline to airline. Some people choose their airline by what they can take onto the plane, especially if they don't want to carry their items.
The Airline ONLY ALLOWS A 9X10X17 CARRY ON in BASIC ECONOMY CLASS. So everyone of these bags are useless. How about addressing that issue? I've come to find out that 100% of videos ONLY Address carry ons that rich people are allowed to varry on. What about us POOR FOLKS who can only afford BASIC ECONOMY for our long 18 hour flight?
@borg386. Most most domestic airlines allow bags that are 18 x 14 x 8 and these two bags meet that requirement. Only JetBlue allows a bag at 17 x 14 x 8 and these two bags would work for that airline too. I am unsure what airline you are talking about because most airlines domestic have that requirement and when you talk about European airlines leave requirement varies a lot.
15 x 9 x 7 for personal item on budget European flights. 🫣 I have to pay for the carry-on (hand luggage) anyway-- (Osprey Fairview or Porter). As the v4 Bento is way too big, I'm toying with just taking my Osprey 22L ultralight dry backpack for under seat essentials. Yet, it's a shame to waste the space alloted. I was eyeing the PAKT 15L backpack. The price tag is bringing me back to reality 🤑 ECOHUB backpack is a budget buy. 🤔
Hi @696969bold. There is no standard with those budget European airlines. Like for instance, EasyJet allows like US carriers the 18"X14"X8" but Ryanair only allows 16"x 10"X 8", so it is really important to check what the personal size is. Have you tried looking at the Tomtoc Backpack? It comes in both a 28L and is compliant with most airlines. I think you might like it given the bags you are looking at.
@@PerriesPassport great suggestion. I'm actually looking at a better sling to partner with my Osprey travel backpack. Right now, I stick with a 1L Osprey ultralight waist bag and my 22L Osprey ultralight dry backpack in flight when I use the Porter or Fairview. So far...lightweight, holds everything including tablet (I don't tote a laptop), electronics, snacks, cleaning kit, small toiletries, etc). The challenge with that is keeping the 22L on my chest when walk about. This spurred the sling solution... until I got that SCOTTEVEST windbreaker! On domestic flights, just the 1L waist bag and the Samantha Brown Essential Carry-All does it. If I need an 21" carry-on wheeled suitcase for longer trips, the Samantha Brown becomes my personal item.
@@696969bold Our national carriers are counting those waist bags now as a personal item, so keep that in mind. I am going to be reviewing a whole pile of jackets and vests with loads of pockets.. I think it was you who gave me the idea.

How much it weighs after packing
HI, @linbasdeo6108 both bags came in under 15 lbs full, but that is with my pack. Also, personal items tend not to be weighed, especially if they are your only item.
But you tested the rolling when the bag was empty?
Hi @follywood2 ! I actually tested both bags full (and you can see that with the second bag), and they both rolled super smooth. but when I went to do the editing of the video, the footage of the first bag was gone, so I just reshot it the way it was, since I had already done it in real life and knew that the bag was fine. But kudos! You have sharp eyes. Btw, I ended up keeping that first bag.
I didnt see you pack any bottoms
Hi @lesleyshuker5859 I packed a pair of black jeans right on top. Those and the one I would be wearing on the plane give me 2 pairs for a week.
by the time you finished packing the first bag there was no way that still met the size requirements with all you put in there.
These bags are to big for United which is 17x10x9. Smaller than the other airlines.
I have to pay for the carry-on (hand luggage) anyway-- (Osprey Fairview or Porter). As the v4 Bento is way too big, I'm toying with just taking my Osprey 22L ultralight dry backpack for under seat essentials. Yet, it's a shame to waste the space alloted.
I was eyeing the PAKT 15L backpack. The price tag is bringing me back to reality 🤑
ECOHUB backpack is a budget buy.
