I was front and center in the red gami shirt! I was practically crouched the whole time with all the crowdsurfers going overhead, haha. So cool to see this show from another perspective!
Just found this band this week. Damn, lovin it already. I also found out Mom Jeans., SUPER AMERICAN, Bigger Better Sun the past two weeks before... Origami Angel is one of the top on the list now. #GAMIGANG
He's not struggling with vocals because of the guitar. His vocal chords are just super strained, either from touring non stop, or practice non-stop. I used to sing in a band, it's early Laryngitis / inflammation of the vocal chords, I know it when I hear it. So I'd cut him some slack. His guitar parts are on point and I've never heard a 2 piece band go so hard.
I agree to be honest. Not because he can’t handle it, but just for the sake for more dynamics during the live performances. Obviously they are both talented. Even just a bass player would give this more punch. God I hate defensive fan bases
100%, with this live lineup I bucket them as a great studio band but weak sauce live. Their production and stage sound in comparison to every supporting band I've seen em with just pales. No bueno

@@gtucks519 yep! From what I've been hearing, he has a special setup that gives his lowest strings a bass tone. I don't know if they use an actual bass for recording, but the live footage at least uses it :)
The damn guitar is out of tune bc he has a capo that takes him slightly sharper than the back track at the beginning. The vocals are absolutely trash live as well.
If your talking about his vocals its super hard to play the way he plays (math rock) and sing vocals that dont match, he sings the title track really well because what he plays on guitar matches up with his vocals unlike other songs. its pretty impressive he does it so well imo

@@gtucks519 There's a 3rd pickup in the middle that only picks up the low E string and outputs to a separate signal / amp.
The bass might also just be backtracked but there's a couple times where it doesn't sound 100% locked in so maybe it is just his low e!
