    Thanks for very informative video. I’ve liked it and subscribed the channel. I think a follow up video should cover how to change pre & post filters, empty and sanitize the tank etc. Thanks 🙏

    I have to agree, it would have been very helpful to point out the items you are talking about and also show the "How To" parts. I think you'd sell more filters and such. Honestly great information, and thank you for it, but I will now go find a step by step on the "How To"...which may also be selling filters, etc... Best to you!

    This was great on 'what' to do...but 'how' do I do everything? HOW do you clean out the tank?? I have an RO system that hasn't been used in five years, but now I'd like to begin using it, again. God only knows the state of the tank, by now!

      If you want to get rid of slime/biofilm, chlorine dioxide seems to be one of the most effective solutions. You can get it online, it's also sold to nutjobs who drink it (pro tip: don't drink bleach).

    Hi John...can you please share the complete process of sanitising the RO tank. Thanks.

      i think its best to purchase a new tank if you want to be really safe. but then thats just create waste instead of reusing it. there has to be someway to force vinegar into the tank to help sanitized it. maybe fill in the cartridge with vinegar than turn on the water facet. let it sit there for quite some time then empty the tank 2 times. just a thought

    Should I sanitize the tank before using or is it clean out the box?

    I have an RO 5500 Aquapure. You covered the basics, but I'm not sure what the individual parts are; I change the bottom 2 cartridges, but don't know what the top, sideways cartridge is so don't know how to replace it - and where is the filter? Or is that the top cartridge? Thanks

    Your video is very informative. Thanks! Can you tell me why no water is coming out of my RO system after I change the filters and the tank is at 6.5 PSI? Water is getting to the prefilter but not past that point. I tore apart the assembly and did not find any thing blocking the flow of water.

    very helpful thank you. I have a six months old Davis and Shirtliff 6 stage under sink mini RO system. I have just recently replace the three filters but after restarting the system it is not running as normal. It stutters and pushes a few drops of water with every stutter. Might you know what the problem is?

    If no one will be using the system for months,
    I figure I should pull all the filters and drain the tank. What about all the hoses?

    I am surprised Warren Buffett didn't get into the RO filter business. It's better than a toll bridge.

    Specifically how do you actually sanitise the tank

    • @somebb
      @somebb 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Use one part name brand regular bleach to 9 parts water. Run it in your system and let it sit for at least ten minutes, without the filters installed. Then rinse the heck out of it with plain water And run plain water through it until you don't notice any more bleach. Then install your new filters.

    do all of these systems require me to drain a tank. because thats pointless. aren't there any that are low maintenance and DO NOT require me to carry the dam thing outside every 2 weeks???

    I changed my pre and post filters 17 days ago and now my flow has stopped and my tank is empty. Water is not coming into the system and my filters are clogged. They are supposed to last up to 6 months. Do you have any ideas why this would be happening? The filters before these only lasted 1 month. There can’t be THAT much sediment coming in to clog them up! Thanks.
