Now I feel from the two videos, I see we are better off staying where we are from in New Zealand. we don't get racism or hate crimes which is higher for our orientation and inter-race relationship compared what we might get in Canada from what has been said. As a Canadian, born and raised, it's fascinating to see the outside perspective from people. It's beautiful how you can see so many cultures, languages, food and values come together in Canada. However, one draw back I have noticed is that there is a tendency to stick within cultural social groups/enclaves and refrain from socializing outward. It's unfortunate because it is more difficult to learn about and understand people. I personally love learning about other cultures and values, and enjoy interacting with new comers. My hope for new comers is that they over come any feelings with being shy and try to have an interest to learn about unfamiliar people and cultures as well.
However, as you unwittingly po9int out, because of Canadian TOLERANCE, the separate enclaves get along quite well--at the same time sharing their cultural heritage--trademark culinary dishes, clothing flare, and the sound on the street, in stores, nightspots, and in quiet, civilized lines (qeueues) for benefits and documents. After a year in Toronto as a software developer, I've started studying German and refreshing my job interview skills to emigrate to Berlin. After living in Europe for a while, Toronto is just on a different level (lower level) of everything
Security and safety is definitely one of the reasons to live in Canada. I believe the immigration policies do make sense, the country has shortage of workforce but they have to attract skilled people who can help the economy.
Yeah it’s my friend of mine he’s a well experienced engineer back home but when they’re moved to Canada he’s can’t find job and end up working in bakery.. mine Im electrician back home. I’m here in US I’m electrician in maintenance on state university.. that’s the problem in Canada they’re lacking or not even for skilled job’s..
The issue with Vancouver (and Canada) is this: 1.it has become so much expensive while the salaries are so-so 2. More and more people are becoming like robots 3. Talking to strangers is not normal!!! For me coming from Europe (Belgium), this is very strange!!!! 4. Public transport suck!!!! (It is only good enough for people who have never left Canada) 5. The healthcare service is better than the US but is a disaster when compared to Europe… and even to some African countries (I have worked in west Africa for the French goblin the past and believe me…. There u can have access to doctors on the spot.. no wait, no stupid triage systems!!) 6. If you have a kid with a special need (like a daughter of my colleague at work), a city like vanguard just 2 or ..3. Schools for special need children!!! My colleague told me both of those schools love money and quality services are far from their priority!!! But yes, Vancouver, a big city has just 2’of them!!’ How stupid is that! 7. Girls are interested for most of them! 8. People have been raised to get INDEBTED and they are taught to spend, SPEND and Spend!!! The whole North American system is based on debt and banks get rich out of people being in debt!!! I am such in a hurry to fly back to Europe!!!
I agree, there are lots of things to be thankful and enjoy in Canada, and many people just forget that there was a good reason to come here. Getting involved in public life and politics more is necessary for Canadians to safeguard what Canada can offer! Sadly, there are those who are not really fit to take office, and are misusing the system, the current government is not really the best and Canada deserves a better one, but it is up to Canadians to pay more attention and improve public life too! It does take some efforts, nothing works on its own even in Canada..Thanks for the nice video!
Forgot to add: great place to be poor, you will never be homeless unless you're a druggie. Also, there is little racism in Canada compared to the US. Another perk is that Canada is not bordering any third world countries like the US is.
"there is little racism in Canada compared to the US" "Another perk is that Canada is not bordering any third world countries like the US is" Are you the one racist who lives in Canada?
I'm from Russia and I was surprised when you mentioned the differences between our countries for the sake of Examples. The militaristic hostile environment here really takes a toll on people and seeing that someone can live their life without such fear makes me hopeful. Police can be friendly, you can protest and critisize the government without going to jail, people are welcoming and open minded, and I can even marry a woman if I want to! That's already SO much more than I could expect from living in my home country. I understand that there are still a lot of things to work on and many people have reasons to be unhappy in Canada probably. But comparing these simple facts I would rather struggle for a few years gaining that Canadian experience than living here till I die.
Hey Anna and Anastasia, I've been watching so many of your videos this past week, my wife and I are living in Jamaica and we're planning to move to Canada, this video was very inspiring to continue that move. Keep up the amazing content! One Love.

Wonderful video. I recently got a PR through express entry, have some close friends there, and I am really looking forward to moving to Canada. I watched your video on why people move out, and thought to myself, “yeah, if you’ve lived in a country that literally sends the military to kill innocent people like they did in my home country, I can live with paying high taxes” Anyway, love the video, makes me pumped to make the move
There is certainly a component to it that is kind of like lottery. High score increases your chances of getting selected, however If there are many people with the same high score - that’s where it becomes more like a lottery.
Very inspiring, thank you! Getting this positive vibes gives hope that everything gonna be okay, and immigration will happen and there will be a good job and people around you. Thanks again!

Dear Mr. Voronlanskli . . . Just a note: it's okay to pronounce "GOING TO" as gonna, but NOT okay to write it that way: ALWAYS write GOING TO! As for you dear Mister Vadim, congratulations on getting halfway to becoming a "Cosmo-Canadian", now you just need to get yourself here and pick up a few words of French and you will be 100% "Canadian", eh?!
The Brazilian passport allows you to travel in most countries, actually. i've been living in canada for 16 years. It is a good country, but I miss my original culture very much. Perhaps because people from different places do not mingle enough to create a Canadian culture as a whole.
Safety is not something people consciously think of but it is so apparent for people in developing countries. Even traveling with a valid visa still gets you in a lot of trouble with a second-class passport. No country is perfect but despite the little things, I think Canada is definitely one of the best places in the world you can always trust to come back to.
I hope from the bottom of my heart that I will get his friend, a Canadian, we will get acquainted, a good friendship, I love Canada, and I love her family, and I hope to live in it, other than the world, you regret that he lived in it, reassured his heart, and I am my dream and I hope to live in Canada, I hope for help
Thanks for this sweet package. No matter what, Canada is a good country to live. I believe that the good side of Canada outweighs the bad side and if one is patient really patient, he will definitely enjoy Canada. My prayer is that one day I and my family will relocate and settle successfully in Canada In Jesus Name Amen.
On invitation to teach at a Canadian university, I escaped from socially prejudiced, negative-minded and religiously Puritanical American society and police state, to feeling freedom and peace in Canada. The USA was "the land of the free" in the 1950s, but no longer. In contrast, Canada has remained on the path to defining a better life for its citizens, immigrants and visitors. I love seeing the posters proclaiming the Canadian government's only mandate: "No form of aggressive behavior will be tolerated," ubiquitously displayed--in subways, public buildings, buses and schools.
It has good opportunities for all sorts of professionals. Business skills are in demand, and more specifically - soft skills and finance skills are very valued in business. What’s your specialization?
Canada is an acquired taste, it suits families better than it suits single persons. If you like North American culture you will like Canada. Canadian politeness is obvious but overall very disingenuous, and this is because people prefer to keep appearances and peace, a behavioral relic of their British heritage. In that respect Canadians are closer to the British than to Americans while the consumerist culture is very obviously something that they share with the US. Canadians like the idea of diversity but not necessarily the reality of it. They accept it but not necessarily approve of it. It is a rough place but it has its perks, just like every place on Earth, one’s experience will depend on expectations and likes or dislikes. For those who hope to hold double citizenship Canada is indeed a viable option.
@@MakeThatChange I enjoyed the comment from Mid-Century Modern. Firstly I love their handle and secondly how it correlates with their views of Canada. Obviously Canada comprises many views, young versus old, male versus female, educated versus uneducated. Now while I use the word 'versus' most Canadians do not see their opinions as a battle ground to defend but rather a position to be blended with others ... this is what makes us strong. For example the U.S. describes itself as a 'melting pot' which means to me that everyone's opinions must be melted down to just one. This is very wrong in my opinion. In comparison Canada describes itself as a 'mosaic' which means opinions are heard and blended into one common direction. It listens to all in making decisions as opposed to forcing one on all. A huge difference.
I think that's kind of a generalized assumption...I love the diversity, most of my friends are international, my girlfriend is Vietnamese, I love them all, they have taught me so much about the world and it's beauty and I cherish the diversity we have here as one of Canada's most valuable resources and I know most people my age think exactly the same, the only push back I can think of is the baby boomer generation, which is pretty much the same in all countries really but even then, it's just from lack of understanding, but not because they don't approve.
Amazing video, makes wanna fly to Canada using my broomstick lol. Anyway I'm still sending tons of application to job openings online hoping I could land a job offer for the BC PNP Tech pathway. Btw your tips on the successful resume was an astounding help. PS: Anna & Anastasia if you happen to spot an opening for a graphic designer position be sure to keep me on your radar :)
I came here from the UK 22 years ago. I left my home because I did not want to be part of the EU but now the UK has left the EU I would now go back.... Getting established here was not easy & it still has challenges, mostly related to a lack of recognition for foreign qualifications & the obstacles put in the way that prevent very experienced people like me from obtaining trade licenses which are administered by the lefty unions here. Canadian people & those who came here are polite, friendly & helpful. Employment & the conditions of employment has to evolve & the vacation entitlement here is really bad. There are terrible inequalities between union & non union jobs which get the crap end of the stick every time. I love this country, despite the various shortcomings. I met my Brit wife here & we own a primary home plus a leisure property (cottage) on 10 acres....I would never have been able to do that in the UK. The biggest positive change here would be if we could get rid of the bad habit of voting in Liberal governments...

I have social anxiety and overall I'm pretty outgoing but I feel more calm among the stillness of Canada, I think I have pshycogenic neurological issues and in the US my insurance doesn't seem to cover this type of evaluation, I'm sick of people telling me how to act out that is my fault, meds don't seem to do much I have stomach ulcers and they just keep suggesting maybe it will get better one day. It's expensive like 2000 bucks or something for a neuropshych evaluation and the social worker I saw recommended a place but I still needed a medical referral so I also had to see my doctor who I sometimes find a little condescending and skeptical towards my symptoms but then I got frustrated and decided to switch my insurance company this year, I paid the first month twice, had to sign a bunch of stuff, and still didn't get my insurance active until I called and got the refund for paying twice. I'm an Uber Driver and they won't pay for my health care or education and if they did I probably wouldn't have a job at all because of the legal system. If my stomach acts up at a drinking establishment I'll get thrown out and the mayor of Roseville won't allow the Brewstillery to serve their craft THC Seltzer in my hometown. Sometimes I feel so reviled and isolated because of the covid-19 pandemic, it's a different type of alone when your alone in a beautiful land that you love and is not your hometown, of course you would be alone if you weren't at home but it's more of a relaxing than a stressful feeling you know what I mean? I grew up visiting Rainy Lake in Ontario, I could be a part of the Tiny House movement and have so much less stress compared to my home in Roseville and have more time for cooking and going out to events😁 I'm only a single person.

As a 65 year old Canadian, I think the government should hire you both on as Public Relations officers. Great review, but just a little optimistic I would suggest. We are heavily indebted and sinking fast, our political condition is becoming more and more divergent - not as violently so as other countries, but far more than it ever has been here in the past, entire provinces are talking about leaving, that said, you do certainly make a point that there is still much that is good and if we get our financial act together we may be able to maintain it. Well done in that regard.
Thank you for the kind words. We do also think we’ve been overly positive in our video, but we wanted to highlight that Canada has some things other 3rd world countries can’t even dream of!
One thing rarely mentioned by videos like these is the treatment of women back home. I have known so many women tell me they will never return to their home country since women are treated better in Canada. I know two sisters from Poland who moved here are love it. They told me many stories of sexual harassment back home which was tolerated by the government, courts and employers. They feel there is a better work environment in Canada. I had similar stories told to me by women from Australia, Japan, Korea, Egypt, Turkey and Brazil.
I am a mother and in canada for more than 4 years. Now I am a student with my son, doing my interior design. Well it is a long story but canada is a nice place to live but the immigration system according to every international students are too slow and too expensive. Work while you study is good but locked up with 20 hours , where everything is expensive, everything is hard like a rock but I believe it is making us stronger and ready to face challenges in life. I believe immigration system should consider ( family ties ) I see death , waiting for their loved ones … years pass and reject for nothing, ( you won’t leave canada 🍁) really is this a reason to reject spouse sponsorship. I came to canada knowing canada values family but surprised all that you hear is not true.
I had finished my master’s degree from Japan in Applied Chemistry and working in Japan in car parts manufacturer company. My profession is material engineer.
I disagree in some areas with regards to education. While post secondary is cheaper in many instances, and its quality is considered high, how far it takes you is often far from expectations. It is in my experience and in the experience of my friends extremely hard to find jobs relating to your schooling without references. It doesn’t matter how good your grades were in culinary school you will be a dishwasher for 2 years before they consider you for a receptionist role. But I want to be a cook you might say, well I’ve never made it that far so I don’t know what to tell you. If you can’t tell I do not like the Canadian education system, mostly because it hasn’t helped at all for me and many others.
I agree with you. My Canadian education had mostly been useless, but I do cherish and value the friends I made along the way. I failed 10 classes at school and barely got a passing GPA to graduate - this had absolutely no impact on my career ( in fact I’m glad I focused on career more than I did on schools)
@@MakeThatChange And the funny thing back in my home country is, they value GPA over skill!! Cz the interviewers themselves don't have the skill to judge you, so they make decisions based on one's grades, even if you go back from a country like Canada, if your GPA is not great, they'll not consider you, rather will consider someone with high GPA from a 1000000th ranked college
@@MakeThatChange That is so surprising you seem articulate and very intelligent. If I am not prying I would be curious to know what college failed you ten times.

Security and safety is definitely one of the reasons to live in Canada. I believe the immigration policies do make sense, the country has shortage of workforce but they have to attract skilled people who can help the economy.
Absolutely!
I've just applied for Canadian PR process and god knows haha ! ive a lot of work to do.
You’ve got this my friend! We’re cheering for you 😌 all the best
Wow that's great and so useful 😊
Happy to help!
The issue with Vancouver (and Canada) is this:
1.it has become so much expensive while the salaries are so-so
2. More and more people are becoming like robots
3. Talking to strangers is not normal!!! For me coming from Europe (Belgium), this is very strange!!!!
4. Public transport suck!!!! (It is only good enough for people who have never left Canada)
5. The healthcare service is better than the US but is a disaster when compared to Europe… and even to some African countries (I have worked in west Africa for the French goblin the past and believe me…. There u can have access to doctors on the spot.. no wait, no stupid triage systems!!)
I love the way you pronounce _Canada_ ❤.
Thank you ☺️

We hope you get to come to Canada soon! There are many programs you could take advantage of, Including student immigration!

Are nominee programmes lotteries? Isn’t there a guarantee that we would have it , if our score is high?
There is certainly a component to it that is kind of like lottery. High score increases your chances of getting selected, however If there are many people with the same high score - that’s where it becomes more like a lottery.

The Brazilian passport allows you to travel in most countries, actually. i've been living in canada for 16 years. It is a good country, but I miss my original culture very much. Perhaps because people from different places do not mingle enough to create a Canadian culture as a whole.
This is absolutely true, especially Canadian born caucasian population need to learn more about diversity and inclusion.
I'm quite skeptical about the diversity in Canada and your comment validates my fears
Safety is not something people consciously think of but it is so apparent for people in developing countries. Even traveling with a valid visa still gets you in a lot of trouble with a second-class passport.
No country is perfect but despite the little things, I think Canada is definitely one of the best places in the world you can always trust to come back to.

Thank you for sharing such informational insight and your personal experience with us.

Hello girls excelent video, I’m from Brazil. My dream is live in Canada, Me and my husband we have to prepared for go!
Hi Ferzinha! All the best with your journey, check out our other videos to see how you can prepare!
For those who hope to hold double citizenship Canada is indeed a viable option.
that's a great summary! thanks for sharing that!
"Canadians like the idea of diversity but not necessarily the reality of it."
"It is a rough place but it has its perks, just like every place on Earth"
in what sense is it rough?
Amazing! Canada is just perfect! Safety is the first thing.

That’s a wonderful story David, glad you’re happy here!
