He is only 29 and his last dominant season was 2020, so not exactly 6 seasons ago, but certainly a few. I think he will show more than you think with an elite d coordinator and good team around him!
Yup, when he got to Seattle they started playing two high safties a lot and that wasn’t Jamals forte. We are going to use him in a bunch of packages and he’s going to be a great chess piece for us. I expect him to always be in the box or on the line of scrimmage. He’s still great at blitzing off the edge, he’s still great at blowing up the run and when we need him to cover a TE he will be able to do it. Him and Kwon are going to have a much bigger impact on this defense eventually than most Lions fans believe. Great Signing for sure.
@@PabloSanchez-hj5fb I mean getting OBJ and Von Miller. OBJ was the exact WR I wanted the Rams to get for Goff. They tried that but ended up with Brandin Cook.
I think He eventually is going to have a much larger impact on this defense than Lions fans realize. He’s not going to be asked to play saftey at all unless Kerby or Branch get injured. Adams is going to play a Lb/S role for us, he’s going to be lined up in the Box or on/near the line of scrimmage. He can Cover Tight ends if he needs to, bes going to be used to blitz for sure, he’s also going to be used to stop the run, he’s still great at all of these things. He asked the Titans if he could be released a month ago and the Titans agreed to let him go to a contender. I love this signing. Kwon and Adams will both have a large impact on this defense.
I too like this signing. There's still a ton of healthy talent on this defense, so all the Lions really need is players that can competently do what they need them to do. It would be great if they come in and excel beyond everyone's wildest expectations, but just being pretty good should be more than enough to make a difference and get the job done.
That's a good signing, we need all the help we can get with all the injuries. I'm really concerned about the next game with the Packers, they seem to be playing well and we've been decimated with injuries defensively and even though we are 11+1 the Vikings are on our tails and the Packers aren't far behind. We need this win. The Vikings are getting so lucky😂
When fully healthy, the Detroit Lions are unquestionably the best team in the league. It's incredible to think how dominant they could be without the injuries. Even just having Hutchinson back would make a massive difference. It would be heartbreaking if injuries end up derailing their Super Bowl aspirations because this team truly has what it takes to be the best.
Yup and he’s amazing at Blitzing off the line and beating rbs and getting to the QB. He’s great at blowing up the run still and he can cover a TE when needed to. He’s not going to play deep saftey like he was in Seattle a lot which isn’t where he should be. He’s going to be in the box or near/on the line of scrimmage. Great chess piece. He’s gonna be great for us.
Keep Adams on the practice squad for the Green Bay game, then elevate him when he has some time to learn the defensive schemes. The Lions 10 day Thanksgiving Day game break comes a week later than usual.
It is a low risk signing. I am not going to say high reward because he hasn't had positive impactful game in a couple of seasons. It doesn't mean he couldn't bring veteran savvy in situations where we don't have a lot of experienced guys playing because of injury. My expectations are low but it is hardly a risk, and their is no downside.
You know what might of helped???? If we didn’t trade draft capital to trade up and get a bunch of project players who aren’t going to be good for 3 to 5 years anyways…. Get players that are game ready and that can also get better…. We’d have 5 players that could most likely be paying right now…..also I think it’s time to stop getting injury prone players who keep getting injured
You’re really going to complain about Holmes Drafting ability? Have you not seen what he’s done in 4 drafts? 2021- Sewell, Levi, Alim, Iffy, Barnes, Amon ra 2022- Hutch, Jamo, Paschal, Kerby, Rodrigo 2023- Gibbs, Cambell, Laporta, Branch, Hooker, Brodric Martin 2024- Arnold, Rakestraw, Manu, Vaki, Wingo, Mahogany Most teams are lucky if they get 2 maybe 3 legit starters from a draft class. Holmes has gotten 5-6 almost every year. You’ll be Happy When Brodric is a starter next year for us, we don’t need a tackle right now so chill on Manu, Mohogany had Mono so he got really sick but he should be a starting guard for us next year, Rakestraw will be a starter soon and Vaki will be used more in the offense next season along with special teams and probably take over Montys role at rb in 3yrs. Most players you have to develop. Some 1 hear some 3 years. Relaxxxxx yo.
Expect zero from Adams, but it’s a very nice depth signing to see if there’s any gas left. Dont tell some of these commenters, but the lions are built on their DBs being able to play. There’s a reason they could lose Hutchinson and survive. Teams pass so much, it’s smart to do these days.
I think getting someone is better than duct tape and pray with who we have hurt. Im hoping Az and Baltimore does their jobs this weekend to help us get some seperation.
@@johnhenry2671 they don’t need another edge, now they need LBs and corners. And I’m telling you those practice guys are good, Detroit can make rookies into amazing players and takes leftovers and makes them great. Most teams keep Practice squad as extra depth, it’s not that they’re awful it’s just extra roster spots
We are fine at edge. Paschal might play this week and if he doesn’t he will the following and he’s been legit for us this year. Mohamed is starting to be a legit threat on the edge. We good there.
@@bassboss1234Mohamed for example, he had 7 pressures last week and basically a sack. He’s going to be good for us the rest of the year. Between getting Kwon Alexander and David Long and having Ben Neimann and Turner we are set at Lb for sure until anzo comes back. As long as CD3 comes back in a week or two and him and Arnold stay healthy through the playoffs we will be good there. Also getting adams will help both positions, we are going to play him in a LB/DB hybrid role where he only plays in the box or on/near the line of scrimmage. He’s great at blitzing and getting hope, he’s great in the run and he can cover a tight end better than most lbs. He’s a great chess piece for AG and he’s going to have a nice impact on this defense along with Kwon Alexander imo.
@ exactly. The biggest injures on our Defense have been Davenport Hutch and Barnes. Paschal has really stepped up and has been playing like Davenport and Z has been getting sacks and pressures on the QB since he got here. Cambell has Stepped up big time at Lb this year, we get Anzo back in 4 or less weeks and between Kwon Alexander, David Long Jr, Nowaske, Ben Neimann and Ezikiel Turner they are holding it down at LB. Plus adding Adams gives up a chess piece on defense. He’s going to play a lb/db hybrid role and he will only play in the box or on/near the line of scrimmage. He’s great at blitzing the qb on the edge, great at blowing up the run and can cover a TE better than most LBS. As long as we got Paschal, Levi, Anzo, Decker, CD3 back for the playoffs and don’t have anymore defensive injuries our defense is going to keep rolling. They’ve been great all season despite injuring and the players they’ve brought in/used from the p squad they’ve all stepped up.
It's good that Jeff and Klotz like the signing, and Booner probably has an opinion, but who the hell cares, really? Well, besides Booner, of course. I'm joking, mostly, but in all seriousness, there is a voice that we haven't heard from in quite a while, and I for one think it's a travesty that this voice has been silenced for so long. I'm speaking, of course, of Klotz's butthole. I feel like Klotz's butthole had a decent take during their winded, but not long-winded, appearance on the show. Okay, I don't know why Klotz's flatulent faux pas popped back into my consciousness today, but it did, and so I thought I'd mention it again, y'all are welcome lol.
I love this move! Not expecting much and I’m sure he’ll play a hybrid LB role for the lions in sub packages.

He will get hurt the first week.
Good sign, he didn't get cut he asked to be released from the titans. He's only 29 and I'm sure being on a SB contending team will motivate him
Great signing hopefully we can use him like seattle did in 2020
The Lions are going all in!! I love it!!!
Going all in is getting Garrett, Crosby, TJ, etc... We didn't go all in like what the Rams did for Stafford.
@OGtruthserum
And if they would have done that they would have had 2 blindside rushers and a LB who doesn’t fit the 43
@@OGtruthserum trades for guys like Stafford don’t happen during the season lol

Adams still runs a 4.45. Great sign. Loves to play in the box. Keeps Branch at ball hawk.

They need to see if Suh, or JJ Watt would be interested in chasing a ring. They could use some more D line help.
Suh 37
MoAr TreNzScHueS!
They’re not built on their DL anymore, thank god.
When Suh was with the Lions he was a nasty dirty player. No thanks.
JJ Watt is cooked
Actually agree we just lost wingo so suh could rotate and grab about 20 snaps, keep him fresh and efficient
3 games in 11 days doesn’t help.. Is Lukas alright?? He disliked day before.. I can only imagine now..
Jeff, what do you think about the Gibbs situation? Not a big deal? Or a mistake??
