Jim Dale was so brilliant in this film. Just his facial expressions and how committed he is to the role. He sells it. The slimy, snake oil salesman come to life. And the outfit accentuates the character perfectly.
He also starred in kind if a western movie by Disney in a trio role which co-starred Don (Barney Fife) Knotts and Jack Elam called Hot Lead and Cold Feet
Sometimes the good thing about movies like this, you gather up enough people who love it and you create a cult classic. Even with one of the most villainous casts of Disney villains, this film manages to convey the purity of happy feelings, that even if everything seems terrible, hope will always be our candle on the water.

As silly as the villains are for this plot, they still top the remake by 100%.
The only two good things about the remake was the attractive bryce dallas Howard and the dragon was cute.

If you look carefully during the dance interlude, you can see a few musical instruments attached to the cart: a trombone and a glockenspiel that start playing all by themselves!
This movie was so dark! I can't believe it didn't traumatize me as a kid lmao!
when I was a kid when I first saw this movie on VHS with my family I did not understand much of what those two guys were singing about. it took me several years to understand. they were planning to kill the dragon for their own personal gain
In a way, this is the same song that many poachers and black market medicine dealers sing, whenever they go out illegally hunting rhinos.
this song perfect describes american big corporations now a days
Including Disney.
Doctor terminus is my favourite Disney villain of all time!
MONEY MONEY MONEY BY THE POUND ££££
Honestly , I kinda want to perform this number now with a buddy but cosplaying as Sherlock and Watson for the fuck of it
DO IT! And post it online I so want to see it
Jim Dale did his own stunts in the Carry On movies, talented singer too. Must have had loads of fun doing this movie.
He had his own band such talent and underrated
1:06 you probably shouldn't be ripping up and clipping up a dragon with just scissors.
if the Dragon is dead you can lol. but then your probably need SaaS n huge knives cause the skin would be tough to cut.
@@Roger-hp1yg that's right 😈😈😈😈😈
Now that would be a video that I would love to see and watch. the mutilation of Elliott the dragon😁😁😁😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
I watch this picture when I was nine years old and now my thirteen years old love this same movie just like how I love it up to now
Me and my Brother used to watch this movie repeatedly as children.
I remember Every Song, and they are all Catchy/Good.
I gotta say, those two can dance
Also, I like how he automatically includes his buddy, best villain simply for being a good friend.
there is SO much potential here holy god
I miss having happy villains.
