    We have these things here for years. It's just a count down timer near the traffic light. No data exchanged, works with every single car, bike or person and costs just the addition to the traffic light, not to every single car...

    We have these timers built into the traffic lights itself.

    Wait, I thought all big cities had digital timers next to the traffic lights. Or this applies only to Europe?

    why not make a countdown next to the stoplight? less hackable and cheaper. Audi must've paid a lot, huh...

    Having the crosswalk light do a count down does the similar function, no need for special electronics... - via @haystacktv
