I remember liking Civilization but I haven't listened to it in awhile, didn't even realize this band was coming out with a new album. You've definitely inspired me to revisit their previous one and give this new a listen.
It definitely took a few listens to grow on me but I now rate it pretty highly! It’s hard for me to say that it’s better than Civilization because The Crossroads is one of my favorite songs of all time lol, but I love how much these guys are able to put the “rock” in their sound as far as retro prog goes. Fun fact, Moving Through Tomorrow was actually my favorite track haha, the middle section of that piece really grabbed me and I enjoyed the reprise at the end. Very interested to compare this album to Unitopia later this month.
Update: I checked out the new Unitopia, I didn’t realize it was already up on Bandcamp lol. To be honest, I kinda prefer this album, it just has more energy to it and more interesting things going on instrumentally imho. Seven Chambers is still a solid album though, both of the Australian bands gave us welcome additions to the 2023 prog sphere
I agree that it's a grower album. Is it fair to compare it so much with Civilisation? I love that album too, and they really set the bar high with that, but we have a different singer here and that's a big factor for me. sometimes the singers vocal style can make or break an album for me.

White Shadows was such a blast for me from first listen. It’s still on repeat for almost 2 days already.

Yeah, The Crossroads is an absolute diamond.

There's a Progressive Metal band form Brisbane called: The Stranger, I've seen them live 14 times I highly recommend you check them out

Very fair 💜
Good record but nowhere near Civilization.
Interesting that you don't like 'When you Return' that much. For me, it's currently the best track.
Some quality... disappointing release
