It's getting tougher out there since a lot of resellers are eyeing different items to flip, and video games are definitely on their radar. The only way video games might lose their charm is if too many resellers end up losing money and there aren't enough buyers around. Right now, comic book prices are tanking, and no one wants to take a risk on them because you might end up getting scammed. Why would you gamble on high-priced items when you know you might not see your investment again? I think a lot of the big resellers use their platforms to lure in unsuspecting investors, hoping to make a killing. Unfortunately, this creates a scene full of shady schemers who will do anything to manipulate the market for their own gain. When I watch TH-camrs like Chase after the right price and Phoenix Resell, do they ever talk about the losses they face when their games don’t sell? I rarely see them mention any losses; it’s always about the wins. This is the kind of deception that many people are falling for, and it’s drawing in a bunch of newbie resellers who want to do the same.
I always tell gamers to buy the games they actually want to play and not to get caught up in the idea of making money just because it seems easy. If your gaming hobby turns into a business, don’t be shocked if you find yourself taking some unethical paths to maximize your profits. This kind of thinking leads to cutthroat sellers who will do whatever it takes to snag a deal. Just look at the recent Pokémon craze, where grown adults are clearing out store shelves so that little Timmy can’t get his hands on a Pokémon card. It’s pretty disgusting, and a lot of people are doing it just to rake in as much cash as possible.
