Now that I am retired, your videos have prompted me to dig out my old piano music... I am currently working on the easier Mazurkas and Preludes of Chopin, following your advice closely. The two books of Debussey preludes are also on the stand! Thankyou for re-kindling my interest in the piano!

One of my favourite Chopin pieces since I first played it in 1978. Comparing it to other interpretations, yours is very "correct", melodious and skillfully played, but it does not show the finer and deeper nuances and details of Rubinstein, Arrau etc. This comparison is not quite fair, though, and it might even be that Chopin himself played it just as straightforward as you did. Anyway, your channel with your explanations is one of the best here on youtube.
Thanks for the comment! You are probably right, I don't quite reach the musical level of those players. But I think there is some room for different personal taste also - Arrau is too slow for mine, but I like Rubinstein and even more Horowitz actually.
How difficult is this to learn if you can play for example op.9 no02? For me this piece always sounded as the sound of Chopin, it has a little of everything that of the other nocturnes
in the 'spanish' chord section.. what is actually happening there? First I thought he is going from f sharp major to f sharp minor, ie scale of a major, because there is an c sharp major -> f sharp minor -> d major But then we get b major 7 ... is that IV of f sharp major again, and the subsequent a sharp major 7 the III? .. How you see this. Do you do this kind of analysis at all?

The "Spanish" chords have a certain Lawrence of Arabia feel to it. And the doppio movimento is just majestic 😍
Yep, it is that "exotic", Arabic, Spanish, Egyptian vibe popularized in movie music.

You should review the middle section when it raised tune it's no longer quintuplet
