Who couldn't love Charles Laughton!
It’s so strange how polite, sophisticated and courtly the people were on this show. In every episode of these clips. It’s like another world.
Trust me on this one... it was another world.
It was...
It's called America, before sjw
Homogeny.
Jamaica Inn brought me here. A born actor indeed.
One of my favorite actors. I could watch Mr. Laughton in anything.
I loved him as Javert in Les Miserables.
Me too!
Charles Laughton was one of the all time greats. Such a talented actor
owen lewis Fantastic in anything, but as Captain Bligh&Quasimodo he was better than any other actor who tackled the roles by far. (In my opinion)
He was a main family members in my family along time ago I'm only 24 and just found out about him I'm glad people liked this man
He was no Huntz Hall but the late great Mr Laughton was indeed one gifted actor.

I cant believe i'm finding Arlene Francis very hot when I had watched her on these shows in the 60s and she was like an old grandmother to me back then.
Take a seat please Mr Laughton ... Doh 😖
I think Laughton was feeling ill here. Didn't seem like he was in the best of health. I think it was well documented.
Indeed. He does not look well here. It was aired in '59 and he passed away only 3 yrs later, poor fellow. 😞
This was in 1956
