Just arrived home from JRC office. I submitted my motion of consideration 1 month prior to my visa expiring and was just approved allowing me enough time to submit my application for 13A visa which I started that process signing documents today. JRC made the process easy and kept me from having to depart the country. The thought of leaving my wife and house behind due to visa requirenment not knowing when I would be allowed back in been stressful. I been married 9 years, here on a tourist visa and always got a run around when it came to 13A Visa. Reason I have not process paper work until now. How I wish I would have known about them earlier. I am so thankful for JRC services and highly recommend them. JRC is efficient, friendly, customer first, afforable unlike other agencies I have spoken too. All my text/questions were replied to in a timely professional manner. JRC thank you so much!!! Amazing Philippines thank you as well! I'm boots on the ground in Cebu, (Lapu-Lapu) Philippines for 11 yrs. and your coverage of Cebu been 100% on point!

Im married but I was on a tourist visa. It expired. JRC. Filled a motion of reconsideration for me. They made a request for me to extend my time and allow me to file a 13 A. Im now a perm .residence . They SAVED me!!! If not I would have been forced to leave .!!! I would have lost my home and family. I cant afford to live in America and support my family here..... @@bonzotalonzo9072 Every situation is unique . It was not cheap. Most of the money went to immigration and late fees.. Even after the late fees most of what JRC. Cost is going to be used for your visa. I think that more 75% of the cost goes to. The BI !! Call JR for exact cost for your situation.

Interesting video but those that cannot do a visa run at present are in a serious situation as you cannot apply for extended stay after first application has been granted, they risk deportation, and as many countries don't allow people who have been residing in the Philippines to return to there chosen home country...

On a lighter note, each time I watch different contents on the procedures / requirements / paperwork that one has to go through always reminds me of the officiously bureaucratic Vogons in the 2005 feature film, "The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy". 😎

My 9G work visa will expire soon. Then after the expiration, it will be downgraded to a tourist visa. I wanted to apply then for a Quota Immigrant Visa. However, is it needed to leave the country first and then come back only to get a new 9A tourist visa stamp on the passport? As we know, we have the pandemic currently and strict quarantine regulations. I simply cannot leave the county right now, because then I cannot enter the Philippines again, because visitors are currently not allowed. Is it then possible to ask for a motion of reconsideration so that I don't need to leave the country? Can I just apply for the Quota Immigrant Visa then without being forced to leave the country?

JRC and other similar services are not only for special circumstances, but make any issues dealing with visas or other passport issues much easier to handle. Otherwise, one could find themselves running around trying to get everything they need or even traveling back and forth to Manila trying to handle those issues. The services are well worth the additional costs since it could save you so much more if you fall into one of those administration loops. Just make sure you get with one of these services well before your due date so you don't have to worry about getting booted from the country and get stuck with fines, as well as being restricted on when you could return.
Dealing with your country passport might be a whole other problem though, so don't forget, if you need to renew your passport to do so well in advance. That should allow at least a few extra months to handle any of those problems that might pop up.

The foreigner needs to apply for a "Motion for Reconsideration" to get some extra time to apply for a different type of visa such as SRRV Retirement visa, 13a marriage vise, etc. If you apply before the 36 months the penalty is less than if you wait to apply. 15,000 pesos vs 25,000 pesos I think, plus other fees involved also.
