I see a lot of people talking about how they wobble a lot or don’t trust each other, but if you listen to the lyrics it may have been intended to be that way. It’s literally called Unsteady.

I don't think wobbly and untrusting were intended. If the point were to do that based upon lyrics, it would've been WAAAY more exaggerated and obvious.
Even if it wasn‘t because of the song there‘s no need to point it out because nobody is perfect and it was a beautiful dance
The song lyrics talks about a broken marriage heading towards separation through the child talking about how he needs his parents to be there for him.

Yafavv_R-Rieal I am a dancer and I won't judge but u really have to dance with your emotion and even though, yes, the meaning of the dance is for them to be separated, but they needed more chemistry to even act like that. I think even if the meaning of the song is supposed to be like that, they needed to be close to do it.
Yh because it is unsteady and the person seems skeptical of love whoever sung this song. Espescially the "if you love me dont let go"

Those who said the dancers lacked chemistry are solid proofs that both of them successfully embodied the song because the lyrics are after all about unsteady relationship that is crumbling but they are still trying to uphold it for the sake of their grieving child.
I feel like the untrust makes this dance a ten fold more beautiful, it fits the concept of the song and kind of speaks with it.
It was good but the only thing stopping it from great was the fact that the female dancer didn’t trust the male dancer to catch her or support her in any of the lifts ...you can see the apprehension... I wonder if he dropped her during rehearsal or something... 🤔 but outside of that they were really good

I think apprehension is actually the intended expression. For a dancer to be great, you need facial expression to deliver the message as well and both dancers obviously did a great job here. They were so expressive, u could see the fragility of the relationsip even tho their moves were so powerful. N lastly, as a dancer myself, I assure u that the female dancer def trust her partner 100% for the lift. It would not even work if one party doesnt trust the other, not to mention for the lift to look great. Being dropped during rehearsal is actually a really common thing but it doesnt ruin the trust. Instead, u learn tgt even faster.
The whole song is about being afraid to trust so I think that that is why the girl seems hesitant to trust the guy to lift her.
And that's why they chose..unsteady..

i watched this a while ago in my dance class and finally saw this popped up, i loved the duality between the two dancers and how they managed to execute such moves so effortlessly. the contrast between the two made it look so much better, this was and still is my favourite dance piece.
I feel like its such a beautiful choreography but the dancers dont trust each other that much for it to flow the way it should
my thoughts exactly. there seemed to be too much uncertainty, though it was lovely. i feel like maybe if they had worked together on it longer or had people who had danced previously together it would have been even better.
Melanin Mint for some reason I feel like the uncertainty of it all matches up with the song. Fight or Flight. It’s like they don’t know which one to choose. I like it.

I just started Contemporary dancing, I'm teaching myself. I'm not any good but it's so amazing. It's a 'weight off of your shoulders' kind of dancing. Truly beautiful choreography.❤

Honestly I just look at youtube videos and just dance. It's kinda hard because I have scoliosis and I'm not flexible at all... so double shucks lol. The music teaches you, the words and the sounds.
just curious, how does scoliosis impact dancing?
S K For me, my spine is curved at the lower back, so I can't stay in one position for too long or stretch for too long. It's probably different for some people but I have never been a active person. It's taken it's toll on me because I find difficulty in so many things now. So with dancing, stretching, jumping, anything to with a lot pf movements of my lower body, it's a pain.
I don't know how many times i've watched this but i still come back to watch it again. It' just perfect😢

As an artist, writer, musician, vocalist, painter...i swear on everything modern interpretive dance is the most beautiful art form...touches me on a level the other don't seem to reach, my guess is because it's pure human form, with no other medium evolved.

no se si alguien lea este mensaje por que esta en español soy de Argentina pero no puedo parar de ver este hermoso baile, hice 8 años de ballet y el próximo año me anotare a clases de danza jazz, no se si a ustedes les pasara pero cada vez que bailo olvido los problemas que tenia en mente y me dejo llevar por mis sentimientos, tengo 13 años, y casi toda mi vida fui por la vida bailando, hasta en las clases de deporte me costo no hacer pasos de baile mientras jugaba una partido, saltaba y caía en releve me costo por que mis compañeros se burlaban solo por que hacia lo que amaba, ahora ya más grande entendí que si yo confío en mi no importa lo que opinen los demás, muchas gracias.
