Well in that case if you are tryng to equalise energy mass and energy u can say yes there will be only two system as energy is mass only. But here when i say energy i mean the heat form of energy and when i say mass i mean condensed form of energy. So on the basis of these two differentiation of energy we cn have three types of system.

Yes in one case u cn say its one thng mass is condensed form of e energy. Thats why u have modified first law of thermodynamics.
