🦃Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! 🥧We are so blessed - it's wonderful to take time out and give back some love! 💖 Thanks for this - I just can't see slaving over the stove for hours to make those egg-taters - not a fan of that sulphur egg-white smell, ugh - they'd have to sccop me up offa the floor! $$$ too! These look good - might throw them heaped up in the oven with more butter and parm on top just for kicks!
@ a brown paper grocery bag big enough for the breast, roll or hen. Spray oil the bottom of the bag sides and all areas. For instance the breast- place it in the bag. Oil or melted butter on the meat and add favorite spices: crushed rosemary or fresh; poultry seasoning
Sent before finished. Oven 300°. According to the time on the breast roast size; approximately 2 1/2 hrs.notice any “pink juices” add 25 mins Let rest 30 mins I remove the net casing cutting across the bottom with a scissors. The flavor of the meat is always best!! .
You really are at home "on the range!" I'm so impressed with your cooking knowledge. Are you self taught, or did your mom or grandma teach you? This meal had me salivating, I'm not ashamed to say! I didn't see that mashed tader extract coming...NEVER heard of it! Does it really taste like the real deal? I'd love to try it, if you can really vouch for its taste? Once again, your talent and personality always make my day. Love that Slim Pickins' accent! In fact, that would make a great channel name, if it weren't already trademarked...your food makes us "slim!"
Thank you so much! My dad was the cook and I picked up a few things from him and a few things from my Nana. My mom didn't really cook much. So little In fact, we found a recipe in her recipe box of how to cook bacon. 🤣 I'm mostly self-taught and keto cooking is a whole different animal.. Yes! I have used this mashed potato extract and many other extracts over the last couple years. My favorite is the mashed potato extract and the cornbread extract. And now, sweet potato extract. The key to any of these cauliflower things is using the lemon juice and making sure you either roast that cauliflower or cook it like I did and definitely use frozen and not fresh... It has a whole lot less of the cauliflower smell. I definitely vouch for it. I never really have a set amount of how much to use, because I think you should just add it until it tastes away that you like. Thank you so much! You just made my day!
Wondering if a rice vinegar (unsweetened) would work instead of lemon juice? I was thinking it might just be the acidity that cuts the sulphur smell/taste in the cauliflower. FYI, I love using my sous vide (Joule) for chicken breast but haven’t tried a turkey breast yet.
Smash "Like" ppl! All but 1 ingredient, ha! Can't see myself running out for tadar extract. Tho need to give that a try anyway. Was going to make White chili, ended up regular. Have all the dairy ingredients to use up.
Thank you! You could totally do it without the tater extract. 😁 Even with the lemon juice and cooking it like that, it will still be great. That tater extract though....😍🤣
@@southernketoi have the Instant Pot that has sous vide. I've used it a few times with success. I was thinking of smoking my turkey breast and my wings but maybe I'll sous vide the breast?
I’m not allowed to make Turkey for Thanksgiving. My husband does not like it. Booooo yours looks awesome tho! AND hats off to you for the Christmas Vacation reference! Did I ever mention that my husband tells me that I couldn’t hear a dump truck driving through a nitroglycerin plant?
I forgot to mention that I wasn’t getting any notices from you, found out why. Somehow I was NOT on your channel anymore…WHAT?!?? YIKES!! I resubscribed to your channel, I think TH-cam booted me…LOL!! I guess they do that now and again. I’m keeping an eye out just in case. Have a nice day!
Oh wow! I have heard of that happening to some people. I had it happen a while back to one of my first five subscribers... They may not like when I talk about the big companies and try to punish me 🤣 Thank you for resubscribing again and I hope you have a great day also!
I used Baked Potato Keto Chow for the flavor in my fauxtatoes, works well and it thickens it perfectly.
I haven't tried that one yet 😁
@@southernketo Definitely give that a try. It is amazing how much it tastes just like potatoes!

Happy Thanksgiving!! 🦃 Absolutely! These are really good! Load em up! 😁
A Canadian friend taught me the oiled paper bag method for turkey at 300°. Whole, breast or turkey roll . It is the best flavour ever.
I don't know about that one...
How do you do it?

It may work. I haven't tried it. You're probably right, but I like the enzymes in lemon juice. Oooooo... Do the turkey 🦃 😁
