Ladies and gentleman, you're listening to the first rock song. From Elvis to the Beatles to Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin to Metallica to Nirvana and the Black Keys - it all began with this song. Thank you, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, for the greatest popular music form ever.
How in the holly great soul of musical spirit could it go so long before she received this honor? NO ONE of all the artists who have been inducted before her would ever be the same without her influence.
Rosetta Tharpe debería ser el logo/símbolo de ese dichoso salón de la fama, ella invento el rock y sin embargo apenas en 2018 la incluyeron. Que bien que su legado está llegando a los ojos y oídos de todos. :')
That’s what I hate about the rock n roll hall of fame their so slow to induct non main stream legends lately. I can think of several legends like the Dixie hummingbirds,Peter Paul And Marry,Big Bopper,Cab Calloway, and Taj Mahal that defiantly qualify more then most inductees yet problems won’t
@@notchuckproductions5029 Yeah it sure isn't always as it should be. They're giving popularity a higher value than talent and musical influence and that's just not right.
Yes, she was great and it's about time! But - why are the guitars not loud? If it was a guy, it would be loud - I've seen a hundred clips like this, and if it's a guy, it's loud - what's up with that? The other one with Brittany Howard is the same - should be louder.

I think it's intended to sound like she (Rosetta) did.
