Hi. I also bought the A8H's and love them to! However, I would suggest you try export the Sonarworks file and NOT choose "0dB Boost". I don't know why Adam recomends that? Guess it has something to do about headroom?! Choosing "0dB boost" means that the correction only will cut the peaks of your measurement and not boost the dips...resulting in a not flat curve as it does by default when using Sonarworks system wide or DAW-plugin on the computer. I first did what Adam suggest and exported the file with "0dB boost" and was never quite happy (note that my room is pretty flat with the highest peak/valley is 4-5dB) but when I exported the file with a max of "6dB boost" (that's enough for a flat response since i didn't have peaks/valleys with a higher value then that) I LOVE how everything sounds and it feels so much better. Anyway, thnx for always great and positive energy videos! =)
Interesting. I'm actually very happy with how everything sounds and translates now but for the sake of knowing I'll give that a shot and see. Thanks for the tip!
good video! Very helpful. Also very nice of you to share your honest thoughts at the end. I'm also an A77H user. have you tried anything other than exporting "no boost" in Sonarworks? i have a -6 DB cavity at 80hz in my room. do you think not boosting this part with EQ will give a better result?
It will be absolutely fine, just watch your sound levels. I use the A8H's along with a sub in a well treated mixing room not much bigger than yours and it sounds great. 😎

I had the headphone correction at one point and I hated it. Something just sounded off! out of phase or some shit. I have been thinking about the room correction but just cant get the headphone thing out of my mind. Good video, You have made me think i should give it a try. You don't look like your selling it in a bad way. And good on you for that and also stopping the TH-cam add shit. If i get it i will let you know. Besafe...
I’ve heard the same exact thing from multiple people that I really trust. I was worried it would be the same thing with the speakers but it wasn’t. I know my headphones well enough I am leaving them alone. I will add that the ability to load the profiles directly on the speakers and not have to deal with the plugin and inherent latency is the main reason I even considered trying it. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment with your experiences!!
That is the only reason I even considered using it. If I had to use it as a plugin I probably wouldn’t bother. And while it is not a main reason I got the A8H it is a nice feature!
That will happen sometime next year. The rig runs so well right now I don’t want to change it. Plus it’s going to be very expensive because all the i/o has to get upgraded too.
I'm really sorry to say this, but i think it's completly useless to check anything like frequency-responce when you don't have a calibration for your microphone. Each mic (even the same model of the same brand) has differences in its perception of the difference frequencies. So sonarworks has no clue if the measured frequency-responce is caused by the room or the mic.... am i right?
I have set up my new Adams A8H's (coupled with a Kali WS-6.2 sub) along with ARC 4 and it sounds wonderful. 😎
Great video! I'm glad it's working out so well for you. Hope you had a good Thanksgiving, too!!

@@Ultimatestudiosincdid you ever try this?

I thank you for the video. I could not get A control to work on my mac. Are you running in Rosetta mode?
I'm having issues with A-Control on my pc! 🫤
I have this monitor/correction set up. I like it a loy.
Will the a8h be fine in a 3m x 3m home studio for mixing ?
I think for this room size to big speakers

Great stuff, Charlissimo!!
Thank you Chrisissimo!
I love the video, but once I bought a course on drum recording and never received any email link or something else 😅

You too!

Try ARC 4, I used it with my A8H's and it's superb! 😎
Im sold :) and the main reason is that you can load the sonarworks measurement setting straight into the monitors. Set and forget

Charlie, I'm surprise you haven't upgraded the Apple Cheese grader to like the Apple Mac Studio or Mac Mini.
That will happen sometime next year. The rig runs so well right now I don’t want to change it. Plus it’s going to be very expensive because all the i/o has to get upgraded too.
I am thinking about getting those to replace my A8x. I also have Sonar but I would forget to bypass that damn plugin🤣
Get ARC 4 then you don't have to worry about forgetting. 😎
@@kadiummusic I have Trinnov Nova. It’s a whole different beast

No you are not right, each sonarworks mic has calibration profile
