I dont think she is dead at the end, just in need of medical attention. She can get drowned by the boss and die if you fail to kill him before the timer runs out though. I wont be doing the special scenario.
Some Japanese words i hear and recognize are only because of anime and other video games (Plus a bit of pre knowledge of the plot from watching the Devilman OVA's back in the 90's).
