    Your backside airs 🚀 are on point! I need to go straight up through the coping before turning in. I turn too early and either get an edger or barely pop off. Did the whole grab your nose while tail scrape kick turning thing for a while and now I need a break the habit and ride straight through the coping before turning back in.

    It’s crazy that Long Island no longer has an inside skatepark! Or even queens.

    That ramp looks like exactly what I'm wanting to skate. Is it 8 ft and just reaches to vert? By that I mean it doesn't have 1 or 2 foot of vert. Looks like a great ramp to scale up tricks on

    • @ZackDowdy
      @ZackDowdy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not sure the exact height but it gets to vert, about a foot or so.

    I've used to street skate when younger. After several years, just (re)started skating, but just now bowl skating. Any tips on carving and kickturn on bowl and flow park?

    • @ZackDowdy
      @ZackDowdy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have some other videos that dive into those questions but if I had to say anything it's starting low and carving wide, use the walls.

    • @OverdriveRSSZ
      @OverdriveRSSZ 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ZackDowdy thanks bro. Its hard to skate alone, because you dont have a spotter to say if you're falling cause you lack speed in the wall carving, or cause you simply standing tall and not bending you're knees while carving.
      I've got say it, bowl and transition skating is waaaayyy diferent from street skate. Every time i had to pump a wall, i've felt more or less the same fear of jumping a big gap, but whitout street skate stability.
      The weird part is that i know more or less what i have to do, but i simply loose balance and when i try rock to fakie or a bowl grind, i got a blank and abort the trick.
      I also tried to do some air trick of a quarter, but almost backflip and fall. I've though you had to use the tail and scrap it back, but now i think i've should of jump whitout the board and hold it, whitout ollie or scrap.

  • @uglyduckyunlimited3830

    I could never skate that that ramp, dropping in must feel like falling off a cliff

    • @ZackDowdy
      @ZackDowdy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's scary at first, but if you shift your body position to the radius of the ramp it's not as "cliff" feeling haha.

    FYI that is trans "NOT VERT" please do your homework. Proper vert is at min. 13' . 50/50 and scratch grinds are street attempting vert. Before snapping back, think who "May" be on the other side.

    • @ZackDowdy
      @ZackDowdy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Vert means vertical transition, relax.
