    Why hello there, do you like how those swarms, boids and other crap look like, but at the same time don't want to be at a complete mercy of chaos Gods? Search no more - I've got you covered! TL;DR -
    You'll need Anemone and Dendro addons for this, which you can get from food4rhino.com

      If you don't do that, then next time the fillet won't work properly.

    Do you have a replacement for Anemone it doesn't seem to work in Rhino 7

    • @DesignGoBrr
      @DesignGoBrr  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Anemone works perfectly fine in Rhino 7 (and even Rhino 8 current WIP version). Make sure that it's not being blocked by your windows (right click on the Anemone plugin file -> properties -> see if there is a tickbox that says "unblock").

      Great to hear! It's rough trying to control the swarm, so I thought making these tutorials will be somewhat useful for people

    dear Gediminas i'll be so thankful if you answer my question..do you know how could i use three rules 'Alignment' , 'Cohesion' and 'Separation' for points? i need these three rules for Swarm intelligence algorithm

  • @realone7650
    @realone7650 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    i have got to the point of adding the loop. but when i click the button to toggle the movement of the points, they don't really move anywhere, just a very small amount of movement. any idea why this would happen? awesome tutorial though man!

    Need your help :) When I connect Surface and Mesh Surface, Mesh Surface doesn't divide all faces. How can I fixed it ?

    • @DesignGoBrr
      @DesignGoBrr  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmm it's hard to say without seeing the form. My best guess is that some surfaces do not have 4 corner points. MeshSurface only works on surfaces with 4 corner points

    Thank you for sharing this! I am just wondering is it possible to control the points moving within a form (a 3d boundary) instead of on a surface? I am thinking about making a lattice-like structure simulating stress lines (bone-like structure, trabeculae), but also want to have a kind of impact (reaction) to the light so I can control the density of the structure.

    • @DesignGoBrr
      @DesignGoBrr  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely - you just delete the "follow mesh" component and they will fly around in space. The "reacting to light" part would be super tricky to do though.

    dendro produces invalid mesh, have used your settings and the dendro example file settings

    I think if we used smooth volume after curve to volume then make it mesh we would have smoother mesh at the end

    • @DesignGoBrr
      @DesignGoBrr  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good idea! But it wont work in this case - smooth volume uses Laplacian smoothing which has a terrible side effect of shrinking the mesh to its center-point. This means that the meshed curves would not align with the underlying shell anymore. This would work if we didn't have any "guide" geometry underneath to which we wanted to stick.

    Curve to Volume is showing error - 1. Solution exception:DendroAPI.dll assembly: type: member:(null) - i am using rhino 6 Mac. How to solve it? COFF is also disabled.

    • @DesignGoBrr
      @DesignGoBrr  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Make sure that the DendroAPI.dll is not blocked (right click -> properties -> see if there is an unblock option). If it's not blocked, then see if dendro will work with one curve.. or with 2 curves. You can see me fix this issue in my new tutorial video (2020-20), that I uploaded yesterday. Somewhere close to the end of the video.
