aw heck man...can't thank you enough for this vid! I'm 6'6" 280 & have a devil of a time getting a good fit on packs. I have wasted a lot of money on junk just trying to get a good fit. I recently had 2 knee replacements and good fit is crucial for rehabilitation over this next year. I am grateful...thank you, man. Subbed so I can hear more about your adventures! YOU ROCK!
Hi StandsWithABeer! (Love the name BTW!)... I greatly appreciate your kind words, and I can empathize with your recovery. My knees and legs are pretty ruined myself, and in my younger years before therapy and medicine was available I was bedridden for more than 2 years. All I can say is Don't give up, ever! About the Video @ the Osprey; Its a great little day-pack. I am a VERY long Torso'd guy and I find it sits on my frame just fine. I would DEFINITELY try one on though before ordering it. I still use it frequently, and it's held up great! Best Regards, GXW
Hey man thanks for this review. I have this bag in olive green at REI pricing at $79. Bought this bag since 3 years and Im still using the bag today. Now Im ordering the new bag parsac which is another osprey 24/7 series and it will be in black. My quasar pack starting to tear on its mesh waterbottle holder which I have no idea on how to repair it. Hey if you can give me at least some resource to repair the mesh waterbottle holder. Thanks man.
Hi Makoto and thank you for watching my video. I wish I had a good solution other than manually sewing in some kind of flexible patch, but I don't. My Quasar is still in good shape, but I did notice the mesh pocket is beginning to get loose, although thankfully not torn. Again, thanks for the watch and comment!
Hi Bradley, thank you for watching my review! To your question: I have a 15" Dell XPS 9560 that fits fine, and an older 15" dell latitude that also fits (more tightly). I'd say that so long as it's a 15" size laptop or smaller the padded area should fit fine... I'd caution if you have some kind of uber-thick Gaming model though.
Those are Titanium CRKT (Columbia River Knife n Tool) Sporks. They go by the name 'Eat'n Tool' (amazon Link below). We use them a lot, and bought them in a bundle during a going out of business sale at a sporting goods store. They are pretty cool, having a spork, flat blade, several 'camp stove' wrench sizes, and a bottle opener on them. www.amazon.com/CRKT-Spork-Outdoor-Multi-Tool/dp/B0030IRKHA
Hi Scott! Thank you for your comment & question. I am not sure about the amazon classification; I'm 6'6" & 300+ Lbs and it fits me just fine. The smaller osprey bags we have (they are almost just 'hydration bladders with pockets') are significantly slimmer and with less shoulder space. I think with any small daypack it'd be YMMV. Again, thanks for the question. As an aside, I may show them side by side and go over the fit in a future video. My health has been a real issue this winter, but I'll do it as I'm able!
Hi! So far so good really... it suffered a bit of water intrusion at the zipper/seam area during an unbelievably intense thunderstorm riding my motorcycle, but the central area where the laptop sleeve area is remained dry for the most part. They do sell a neon-yellow rain cover for it but I haven't needed it except that one time... Zippers still work good, and the internal organizer areas are all in tact. 2 small punctures in the exterior but they are 'pin sized' and haven't really expanded or ripped... I'm still happy. Thanks for watching, GXW!
cool thing about osprey bags is the 'almighty guarantee'. they will fix/replace any bag forever. Wife and I have 5 of their packs (3L hydration pack, a couple of commuter packs, a 55L and 60L backpacks) and i just ordered this one as a gift for someone. They put them together right and stand behind their products.

Osprey offers a lifetime, unlimited warranty on it's packs. You should take it back to REI and let them handle it for you.
Or just get in touch with Osprey directly.

Great review man! thanks

That is a lot of man. Thanks for the review brother!
Amazon has this bag listed as a "Women's Bag".... Is it comfortable for a man as well?

Well done
Man, leave the camera still and you can use both hands. So much movement gives you a headache.
Stop breathing hard dude.
Thank you. Finally there is someone who said what I wanted to say.
Itz called a lifestyle CHOICE.
diet and exercise.
Lack thereof, this is a byproduct.
Great review!
