    Great video, thank you. I used to go there every once in a while back in 2002-2004 when I was a Mizzou student and lived in Columbia.

    Very interesting video! I'm the grandson of Paul ("Booch") Venable, and it was my mother and brother who made the visit to Booches described in the video. She later told us how much she enjoyed going there and telling the story of how her father was given the nickname Booch, when he was a child in the 1870s, by a student at the University named Eugene Field, who later became famous as the author of "Wynken, Blynken, and Nod" and other poems. So "Booch" was no doubt Field's first creation of a name that lives on today--as Booches.
