The Greek tens for "It is Finished" is Past tense, whereas the death of Jesus was future tense,[Dead men don't speak]. At best the death of Jesus was present tense, but it certainly wasn't past tense. Plus, Jesus had just died and was about to go to Hell, [Hades] for us. Jesus took our spiritual death and went to Hell. Ps 22: 1 Mt 27: 46. Mk 15: 34. Acts 2: 27--31. Jesus had to be raised from the dead so we won't be in our sins, 1 Cor 15: 17, and so we can be justified, Rom 4: 25. So you can see that salvation wasn't finished on the cross. What was finished, was, The Old Testament, sacrifices and the prophecies about Jesus up to that point.
How many of us Americans love free things? Yet we can’t ask and accept Jesus Christ as our savior!? We need to open our eyes! Please! If you are reading this and wondering if you should be taking that step, yes!! Take that step! Matter of fact, jump!! It’s free, repent!
