Yo, mate, just wanna wish you some luck, feels like it's a midwest emo renaissance, your album is pretty nice, i liked it. From Russia with love. Peace!
Something I learned as a 25 year old. Is you can become addicted to being sad. And it's a hell of an addiction. I broke that cycle 2 years ago. Well, a girl broke my heart again back in April. So, I fell into a deeper depression than I've ever been in, and I lost everything. I realized I fell into the I like being sad routine again.. it's not healthy. Don't ever wish yourself back into that.
I think the beauty of teenage angst, is that there’s still the remnants of childhood, you’re still on the periphery of wonder, at the edge of an unknown world, and the potential future to come. 10 years later that’s mostly burned up, unless you make a consistent effort to rediscover and cultivate it within yourself.
How can a teen be depressed. You haven’t experienced anything yet but if you think a break up is the worst that you can experience try starting over with nothing and no one and all you have is sheer will and determination just for it to get ripped away by some loser with a management position.
The video here is from a car driving from Lake Hallie, Wisconsin (between Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls) to a little southeast of Black River Falls, Wisconsin, along Highway 53 then I-94E, in case anyone was curious.
Ive done the 3+ hour drive from Indiana to Ohio and back countless weekends in school to visit my long-distance girlfriend (now wife). Always listening to emo or pop-punk. Always appreciating any subtle changes in the mundane scenery. This video/playlist is very reminiscent of that time in my life. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
I’m sure your entire discography is incredible but as a 30 something single father raising a daughter on my own in the North West, I barely have enough time to do anything other than listen to Watching Over the Garden Wall With You on repeat, and I’m STILL gonna rock your hoodie proudly like a super fan. Such a vibe man. Thank you for such a gem. ❤
I remember when I was in high school and everything sucked and I wouldn't go back if you paid me. I'll take my chances being an adult than every deal with that suffering ever again.
I did not like my dad growing up, I recently just went on a roadtrip through Kansas to Oklahoma with just him and I to go see my grandma. We are a lot better now.
My dad died when I was in my early 20s. We were getting along as well as we ever had when he passed. But my memory of him has soured as I look back on what he left behind from growing up. I wonder what it would be like if he was still alive now.
@@highwayman3561I’m with you there dude. He had loads of problems but so still miss him many years later. I encourage people to spend time with their parents even if they kind of suck (so long as they’re not abusive) because they won’t be around forever and you’ll find yourself wishing you had heard more of their story.

@@DhgLuis I don't want to end my life, I just want the sweet and down to earth girl that I originally met back. But I know she doesn't exist anymore, since she got on Vyvanse. She's basically a completely different person now. She started saying stuff that was totally different from who I thought she was (she said she doesn't like restaurants), she started having a different schedule (refused to eat past 3pm, and I'm a night owl). So even though I'm sad about how I probably can't ever meet her ever again, because she is just too beautiful for me to be comfortable around her, I don't think I'd want to be around the version of her that broke up with me.
@@egg_bun_ sorry to hear that bro, take this time to focus on yourself. Be the person you want to be. It’s alright to be sad, just don’t sit in it. Go on a walk, do something you’re passionate about. When we broke up, I stopped eating, I lost 10 pounds in about a week and a half. I would just come home straight from work and rot in bed. Find somebody to talk about your feelings, it’ll make you feel better
Aye bro, look at your comments man. Youre touching a lot of people with these tracks. Im about to crest 30 and these songs really take me back to middleschool/ high-school but still feels new. Which is a testament to itself. The music isnt a copy cat nostalgia bait, but inspired. Great stuff.

I turn 35 Sunday. I found your music today off of a short. God the laugh I had. Went home picked up the neglected strat and played the Midwest twinkling dogshit out of it. Thank you. Going to pick up a hoodie for this upcoming Ohio fall. Keep up the good work!
Bro that intro… Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind. Hits me so deep in the soul. It reminds me of a such a deep sadness. Great music, yo. Really love that first song especially. Reminds me of so many songs from the Emo era.
