I remember bonding with my Mom when she was alive. Channel battles against CBS and ABC and the corresponding Soaps on each channel. It's been Y&R and B&B for me, since other beloved soaps were cancelled. Thank you for great entertainment the 34 of my sixty years.
I have watched since day one along with so many others who have commented here. To be honest, there have been times it has been hard to stick with it because of a repetitiveness that tends to be in the dialogue. Plus, only being a half hour show, as a viewer you're only getting about 20 minutes. I have wished it could have expanded to an hour for decades. It would mean expanding the cast and offering time to do more story lines at once. But John and Katherine have hung in through it all and are the heart of the show. I have also desperately wanted them to end up back together as a couple after they killed off Stephanie.
Foresters were Beverly Hills and logans were Redkneck san fernado valley, David was at universal studios where they have a vantage point you can look out over san fernado valley

happy anniversary 34 years one of my favorite soap operas besides the young and the restless days of our lives and general hospital i was there when the bold and beautiful begin and still here as 57 i hated when the writers had to get ridge to decided to be with carlione brooke and taylor that was so stupid,
john:if we are talking about brooke and ridge, we have to make it personal, affecting our relationship. :D this is the most funny and riddiculous part how personal other people and their problems become to everyone
One of the best storylines was Brooke/Deacon/Bridgette. Shameless!!! Fighting with Taylor? Classless !!! She needs to go sit in a corner and be quiet and watch the Carter/Quinn/Eric storyline like the rest of us…(Sipping my Chick Fula Lemonade) She trying to pretend like was never a villain (taking another sip) She makes me sick ( switching channel to CBS, at 12 p.m. so that I won’t miss today’s episode).
I hate that the writers are making Quinn cheat on Eric they made such a good couple and now they make her look like a rabbit in heat! and they are dragging the Venny thing too long
nothing wrong with conflict but to much of it is what i don't like, the constantly flipping of the scripts, love triangles and keeping it in the family i can do with out, game changers r always welcome, Thomas who plays the part so well cant even began to redeem himself in my eyes, perhaps in time but i'm like Brooke very wary of him, Liam i have lost faith in just as i did Stuffy ho whom i was hoping to start calling by her familiar name Steffy but just not yet.
It’s hard to believe Katherine Kelly Lang is 59. She looks fantastic.

I was in my late teens back then. I do not watch it now,but have fond memories.
Now they celebrate 35 Years this March. The only Soap to debut in the 1980's that is still on the Air. In The UK Emmerdale celebrates 50 Years.
