What kind of windshield are you thinking about? The smoked one from Husqvarna? I'm thinking about It. What does worry you about horn? I didn't understand. ✌️
I don’t think that I’ll go for the screen in the end :( I think it’ll look ugly and not help much. It depends on how much motorway riding you’re planning to do. After my last experience, I’ll avoid motorways as much as I can. The horn is not loud enough. It definitively needs a louder horn for safety reasons. At 70 mph is barely noticeable.
I hate motorways on the bike, I think unless you've got a massive cruiser or touring bike they're best avoided. Unfortunately I'm stuck in the middle a triangle of motorways and to get anywhere further away I need to use them or spend too much time getting to the good roads. What sort of range are you getting from the 401? I always wondered if the 9.5L tank would be too small.
Hey Billy, that’s bad luck on the motorways! I did not enjoyed that experience. Regarding the range I don’t know yet but the tank is small. I noticed that the petrol stops increased dramatically but I don’t know if it’s because of the small tank or because of the consumption or both. I’m planning to do a comprehensive review in a later video (waiting for warmer weather)
I have the aluminium flyscreen, doesn’t help much, but it’s something hehe.. Waiting for my 401 now :D On Saturday I give away my 125… Served me well..
@@vanyer401 I really like how my bike looks with the flyscreen, but it’s very subjective. After a 12h journey from Germany to Poland I can say the fly screen did it’s job and screened me from flies and wasps properly. I had no idea you can get bugs in every possible places on the bike, helmet vents, clothing… hehe But as for the wind, yeah… probably didn’t do much
@@vanyer401 Don’t ride with an open visor. I got a wasp into the helmet on a highway. Not recommend.. I surprised myself how calmly I stopped on the side, switched off the bike, then took off the helmet and jumped around like on fire. I got it out without getting stung hehe. Drivers passing by were asking if I’m ok 🤦♂️ After a long trip I disassembled the vents in my helmet and there was a lot of corpses hehe, also on my jacket zipper, in my neckwarmer.. yeah.. summer rides through country roads..
Bro, you dont enjoy riding so much hehehe some tips, change the position of your body in high speeds, you wont feel so much need for a windshield but a windshild also help if it bothers you. Also a good position will make the bike more stable. Actually you should "break-in" the engine. I dont know if its the term in english. But you should run the engine once and while. That will makes it powerfull to its potential. The first service mostly is oil change and quick check up. Nothing much becuz the bike is new.
Hi Rocka, thanks for your comment. I am leaning down in this case, still too much exposure. For frequent motorway riders, I still recommend a windshield with the Svartpilen. I’ve heard something similar (about breaking-in the engine) for cars. It makes sense for motos too I guess. PS: I really hate motorways! the 401 goes well in them but not meant for them :)
I think all this "faster after the first service" is pure myth. All they do is change the oil and check a few things. How on earth is that supposed to make an engine produce more power? The only thing that changes is the shift light, which comes on later.
Yeah. What you say makes absolute sense and I tend to agree. Unless, they re-map the engine (something I read somewhere) but to me it sounds too much for no reason? After this video i finally made the 1st service and in my mind the bike is complaining at lower revs but without having anything to back it up. All in my head I think.
After the first 1000km they do the normal maintenance service, and change a few settings in the dash. Basically they unlock the possibility to change the red light rpm settings, so you can do it by yourself. After the first 1000km my red light didn’t blink anymore at 8,5k but at 9,5k or so. I changed it later to 11k hehe.. I watched a review of the bike with some motorcycle journalist and he said they gave him the bike for testing, brand new and said not to worry about the rev limit as it’s more for the rider to get used to a new motorcycle and of course not to over’gtind’ the engine too much..
What's the round thingy on left side of the bar?
Hi Adam, it’s the Beeline GPS. I am preparing a review for one of my next videos.

You can always tuck like they do in racing. Your body starts acting like a windshield 😅.
Already did that tbh… still sucked :)

I’m not sure that a screen will help in the end. I also think it’s kinda ugly too? Almost there for the 401 :) remember to keep me updated!
