a month ago I was honestly thinking about Italian clubs and where they come from. I thought that if a club wants to be good it has to be good. and I thought about all the Italian cities and Venice popped up. and I wondered how come they're not a big club. and now this video comes up. what a coincidence. As a dual Italian/Australian citizen whos family comes from the veneto.. I must thank you for covering this amazing team! Ive seen them go through up and downs galore... But finally being in stable and strong ownership with revolutionary ways .. They will achieve a lot.. They remind me of my team i support .. Vicenza lanerossi.. In serie a in 1997/1998.. With a forward thinking board and revolutionary management.. We led Serie a at Christmas break and won the coppa Italia against Napoli in extra time! Was our greatest ever period in club history.. Venezia has this same style of mentality and thinking as the 1997/1998 vicenza lanerossi.. I wish them all the best.. In bocca al lupo Venezia

What a end to the match
The Venezia team back in the late 90's and early 2000's before their relegation was excellent. A certain Alvaro Recoba made a name for himself there on loan from my beloved Inter. So many of these fallen clubs in the lower tiers of Italy, Catania, Messina, Livorno, Robur Siena (Siena) and so many more.

I'm a Toro supporter but Torino and Venezia have in common 2 great players of the past Ezio Loik and Valentino Mazzola.Both they played for Venezia first where they arrived 3rd in the league and won the League Cup.Later they played for Torino where they won 5 league in a row and one league cup with the legendary team Grande Torino. I hope Venezia come back in Serie A

honestly i thought i was one of a few who knew about it ...

Wooow! This was a great video and show man! Respect! I'm a Milan fan for about 25 years now, and I'm following the Italian football deeply, but hadn't pay attention to this Venezia project (although I've read something about it when Inzaghi first got there, to be a coach!) and it's quite interesting. The only thing that makes me doubt is that I know this guy (the new owner, the American businessman) was in FC Bologna, and didn't do very well there (I've read a few version to why's that, but don't have the right answer yet), and when you come to think about, Bologna is a great club, a former powerhouse of not just the Italian, but European football as well. So, what happened over there, and how come he thinks he'll do well here, since things didn't turn out the right way in Bologna!?
