Tips for anyone checking this out now: don't waste your 50 free supplies! Also: with 99 mining (perfect juju and lava titan) I get around 1,6K chimes/hr on Cyclosis at Salty crabletines. Best thing yet: they NEVER deplete. So, nonstop AFK on one single crabletine, got 2K salt of the creature as we speak. Regarding supplies: I was looking for Wobbegong, but didn't find. So, I didn't flag ANY island. Regretted it afterwards. Do some medium travels (cost only 12) and flag the mining one if u have high mining. I have 99 mining and get 200 alaea sea salt in 30 mins (thats one rare resource spawn on my uncharted isle). Thats 1K chimes in 30 mins. Good Luck lower level players (and high as well of course ;)) !!!
@@MaikeruRS hey ive looked over youtube for like an hour or two and heres a video for content u could make (solely up to you to do or not) but not in a single place on youtube i have found a single guide on hunting bakami on aminishi island (infront of temple) the bakami spawn up there u can world hop by right clicking world image next to minimap. another thing to mention most of them are on the very top of the hill where the anagami are (you can turn attack options to hidden so u dont attack them) but ive gotten tons if chimes from selling the stuff i get from hoping worlds catching them barehanded. ive gotten pure chimes cooked/uncooked gumbo energies bamboo/bundles drift wood salt tortle shells/chippings fish etc. and basically all is noted or stackable (not really worth it to catch murderous unless u want spirit charms). you could make a video on it and be the first to determine if its good or not. (ive gone through 3x (4) dose extreme hunter potions in a trip and left with 2-3k worth of pure chimes and loot to sell for chimes)
Big tip that wasn't mentioned is dwarvern chainaxe and the pickaxe work to get double resources on bamboo and salt. Highly recommended to save all your tools for the arc.
with the boosts purchased I now get 102 chimes per shark soup. With the upgrades I get extra portions while cooking wobbegong and also the shark soup while cooking on the grill on Waiko.
Maikeru just a tip but if you use use your chef gloves in place of your cooking gauntlets 1% from item 1% for full set = 2% Burning soups not if you have 99 cooking .. skillcape perks
Hey Maikeru, is it possible to combine using a fishing rod o matic with wobbegongs to knock out those early invention levels and get some chimes? I'm new to both invention and the arc
thanks bro.... going to watch the guide on starting... need that upgrade for bonecrusher.... small isles only though :/ got two stats one stat for mediums...
took me a month from the moment i came to know about the bonecrusher. i made the chimes chopping and selling bamboo. Also, not just the chimes, need that taijitu thing too. that is the part that took most of the time. i only played 1-2 hours a day
So something worth noting, If you're willing to give up xp or don't have the stats to do the typical methods, killing the pekins by the food merchant on waiko gives about 1600 chimes per hour by selling the eggs and raw pekin which has been very nice since i got the claw from arhats but don't have the the stats to fish and cook etc.
Well most important thing would be how to find people to co-op. Like what world, or fc or something like that. Also what task are faster, or what task give more slayer points? Maybe what's the best/faster way to unlock all the co-op rewards. What things to do and which things to avoid. I tried getting people to co-op but it's just as difficult as to finding people to play pirate mini game in Mos'Les...Plz & Ty m9!
I would probably suggest supply cost reduction first so you can go on cheap voyages for resources and taijitu, then focus on the sell price increase. only time I would get sell price increase first is if you only do your daily claimed island, then you won't be spending many supplies and it would help more :)
I just started doing ancestral energys , do i need to be always changing island and trying to find ancestral energys wen i finish mines our there is any better way? Because im always spending so many resorces and spending so many time trying to find a new acestral energy that makes my xp/hour a lot lower. Thanks :)
I just finished my arhat trip, sold my spear for 33m lol...I think your video contributed to the massive crash :) jk anyways idk why its crashing, but great vid thanks!
It sells over time, don't instantly sell the spear otherwise it will sell for like 3-4 mill less instantly. I sold all my spears overnight for the most part and they would take a few hours to sell, instead of trying for an instant sale and losing a ton of money.
There is a bank boat on the island, I would typically use the bank to get out my fishing outfit & signs of porters or my hunter outfit & traps if either of those spots came up. the rest would be in my inventory to swap between the others spots if they come up as the resources from those all stack and I had like 8 spaces free (can make the bamboo into bundles to stack too).
is waiko designed for players with at least 90 in one or more of these skills? i am lvl 102, with highest non combat skill being 80 in woodcutting. but i really want the hanto armor. what can i do?
You cant really do much without the minimum skill requirements The arc is similar to ports which is why there is level 90 requirements as the low end, high tier skilling and nothing lower tbh
Sounds good to me! :) Best of luck. Miniquest's are good for taijitu, other than that it's just chests on junkets - higher the junket the bigger the chests can be :)
one of the fastest ways i've found to farm charms on the arc is killing pekins. I'm not kidding lol with mage i was getting 1300+ charm per hour. way faster than cutting bamboo for me. so if yo guys don't have any skills over 90 you can always kill the pekins running around and sell to the food merchant
I get 1m+ for hunt Same world ava 3% artic bear invis yaktwee 5% hunt outfit 6% for full and After sliskes endgame you het the -ring of whispers +3invis bonus -hunters catolyst it reset traps if they fail (less clicking less downtime for trapspots)
Yeah, I understand hunter can go higher, you can get a good 1.2m if you use the adren pot method reducing tics. I just wanted to put normal rates for people who would be starting out going to the arc on each skill.
Shark soups are #1 for charms/time spent. So doing everything on the arc is worth it because of how awesome the soups are, even better with the extra portable range procs and sell price increase! :D
Here is a little request from me: can you please shoot the video without any cuts and then record the audio seperately to cut in later? All the partialy skipped animations between 2:00 and 3:00 (and the like) are driving me mad. The video is very informational and I don't mind the audio cutting of slightly too soon like it is right now, but the quality of the background video is comparatively low.
I normally put the audio over clips - or only have 1 or 2 cuts in a whole video clip (like the other clips in this video) In that 20 or so section from 2:20 - 2:40 there is a large amount of stutters that shouldn't have been there i agree. This typically doesn't happen often and was just a genuine mistake and oversight.
You do realise there is no bad stuff and I'm not wrong right? You're just simply looking at it a different way? if things sell to the store for 10% of the value base and are increased by 1% (11% total at tier 1) that's increased by 10% from the base value. 12% total at tier 2 will be 20% increased base value. The way I have worded it is more simple to understand and easier calculate with. Both ways end with the same result.
You talk about "You daily routine", "Your daily island", etc. But never explain what these are. What should one be doing daily at the arc? What kind of Island should you keep? ...
I have a previous arc guide for beginners that i stated in this video, the beginner guide goes more into how to start and claim a daily island and all that stuff. You island is what suits you. If you want hunter xp, look for 2-3 tortle spots If you like mining, look for 2-3 alaea's. It's all personal pref with the arc. All resources are good and so is the xp.
Honestly unless your only for comp or something, Shark soups arent worth the exp waste. Just mine your Salt, Cut your bamboo and fish your wobbas at most, and youll get more then enough chimes, while also maintaining good exp rates. The amount the xp waste in farming the energies and the mushroom clusters and the turtles post nerf is seriously not worth it.
Still relevant for players like me trying to get the upgraded bone picker! Thanks a bunch! Very easy to listen to.
Tips for anyone checking this out now: don't waste your 50 free supplies! Also: with 99 mining (perfect juju and lava titan) I get around 1,6K chimes/hr on Cyclosis at Salty crabletines. I try to stay away from non-buyable mtx items in guides, but yeah, they're definitely helpful :D
Oooo time to open 100’s off boxes
awesome guide! so well put together, great information and tips. thanks so much!
Thanks fella! :)
Happy I could help and you found it to be easy to follow and understand. good luck with dem chimes!
The cooking range you unlock on waiko also has the effect of doubling arc food, btw. :)
Yes, but it doesn't provide the huge xp bonus that the portable range does - so you are better off using a portable :)
Fantastic detail you put into this, greatly appreciated.
Always more than happy to help! :D
Good guide! Starting those Arc trim reqs.. :)
Cheers :D Best of luck
RS 3 goals..... 85 dungeoneering, charming imp, bone crusher, bone crusher upgrade, relax and kill frost dragons, upgrade gear.
How did you go?i have all this and now need chimes to get bone crusher upgrade, what was ur best way of getting chimes
@@Joesmith_138 lol this is the price we pay stupid chimes
Sweet guides! They helped a LOT :D Plus, they're very informative and easy to follow. Keep it up :D
happy to help
Woo been waiting for this - Thanks Maikeru! Great video!
Thanks man! :D Happy to hear that, hope it helped and was worth waiting for :p
W00T been w8ing for this one
Hopefully it helps with your chimes! :D
Awesome guide, wish i had this when i was getting my comp reqs! Might go for the salty title down the line though so thanks :D
redrosid - Thanks bud :)
I kind of want salty too. but it requires so much in ports too - which I haven't done much of compared to the arc :P
Maikeru RS true! Not a very big fan of ports, its the last thing i require for comp actually :')
NICE GUIDE, i got my bonecrusher upgrade, now i am rich :D
Good for farming frost dragons and rune dragons
nice I hope i can grind 25k chimes
Great video mate . Its so informative .
Thanks man :)
Hopefully you learnt some nice new stuff!
Maikeru RS :)
Thank you for the guide, got some real good useful tips out of it!
Glad i could help with the guide :D
with the boosts purchased I now get 102 chimes per shark soup. With the upgrades I get extra portions while cooking wobbegong and also the shark soup while cooking on the grill on Waiko.
Badass job Brobot. keep it up!!
Thanks as always Rick :)
Will keep giving it 110%, hope the guide helped!
always a video for exactly what i'm looking for
Hope it helps :D
Maikeru just a tip but if you use use your chef gloves in place of your cooking gauntlets
1% from item 1% for full set = 2%
Burning soups not if you have 99 cooking .. skillcape perks
Gwilasean - oh yeah! forgot about the cape, been doing it the old way haha.
Thanks bud :)
i got like 10k chimes from motherlaw hole, than i started doing arc... what do i buy first, except upgrades, that u said ?
Hey Maikeru, is it possible to combine using a fishing rod o matic with wobbegongs to knock out those early invention levels and get some chimes? I'm new to both invention and the arc
Yeah, its a good way to get ivnention xp all-round with the skilling there. Mining/wc/fish etc :D
thanks bro.... going to watch the guide on starting...
need that upgrade for bonecrusher.... small isles only though :/ got two stats one stat for mediums...
how long would it take just to get the bonecrusher upgrade? im maxed so i can do shark soups
5+ hour is expected from 0 chimes
it will take a while, as you can make up to around 2k chimes/hour with soups doing everything efficiently. so like 12 hours.
man i was off lol by a lot
took me a month from the moment i came to know about the bonecrusher. i made the chimes chopping and selling bamboo. Also, not just the chimes, need that taijitu thing too. that is the part that took most of the time. i only played 1-2 hours a day
What's the best way to farm taijitu? Someone said short, medium and long voyages but I'm not sure what they mean.. Can anyone help?
So something worth noting, If you're willing to give up xp or don't have the stats to do the typical methods, killing the pekins by the food merchant on waiko gives about 1600 chimes per hour by selling the eggs and raw pekin which has been very nice since i got the claw from arhats but don't have the the stats to fish and cook etc.
That's pretty cool Thanks.
Wow this helped a lot! Thanks Maikeru! :)
Do you think you can do a guide for co-op slayer points? I'm having trouble with it please~
Oscar Cruz - Glad I could help man! :)
what are you struggling with co-op slayer wise? you literally do normal slayer but with 2 people
Well most important thing would be how to find people to co-op. Like what world, or fc or something like that. Also what task are faster, or what task give more slayer points? wich one should i get First? Lower supply cost or higher prices to sell the soaps?
I would probably suggest supply cost reduction first so you can go on cheap voyages for resources and taijitu, then focus on the sell price increase.

The Waiko Grill counts as a portable range for the extra food cooked effect
Yes, but it doesn't give the addition experience in cooking that the range does, so why use the grill over the range and lose 21% xp?
great guide! I wonder though when you go to a large island what is the perfect inventory in your opinion? And what bonus outfits should I bring?
There is a bank boat on the island, I would typically use the bank to get out my fishing outfit & signs of porters or my hunter outfit & traps if either of those spots came up.

Sounds good to me! :) Best of luck.
Miniquest's are good for taijitu, other than that it's just chests on junkets - higher the junket the bigger the chests can be :)
what's a junket?
Are you going to update this now that the Mining rework has changed the rate with the crablets?
crablets chime wise are pretty much the same :)
I meant xp rate as they said they lowered the xp rate.

Thanks Protty
So is it not possible to get chimes if you have under level 90 skills???
Nope, Arc is a high tier skilling area.
Maikeru RS ugh I'l never have an upgraded bonecrusher XD. Thanks for replying though wasn't expecting that tbh!
You can get chimes from elite dungeon 1
How do you make shark soups ?
was the name of shark soup changed to arc soup? I cant find shark soup on the wiki
It's still called shark soup
Is portable range better than waiko grill for duplicates ?
yeahhhh
Maikeru RS thankyou.
jai gais maicru jir
How would you recommend getting taijutu?
small islands for treasure chests i believe is best.
or elite dungeon 1 token farming will give you a couple
Can ironman accounts purchase the xp lamps from the reward shop?
Not actually 100% sure.
ar there beter things now or the same?
same
How do I get taiju? Please make video I like these guides
Still the same anno 2020 @MAIKERU ?
yeah, no chime updates to the arc
in terms of soups in the arc are the shark soups the best soup for all the chime gains or is it the first soup that uses more materials? (;OдO)
Shark soups are #1 for charms/time spent.

I'm lowkey surprised you didn't mention the chimes sell increase cap. 20k is not a very high amount. Cannot sell chimes if you're on cap *roll safe*
Yeah, but the other 2 are just way too good not to get first - the extra stuff can come in handy later on :P
had to put this on 1.5x speed for you to sound normal.. but cool video
Well as long as it helped :)
Only thing I can do in the Arc is slayer :p
Gotta get that grind on! :P
At least you can do it with ellie : ^)
Maikeru RS But sir, you know I dislike skilling :c
Protty Lol indeed :p
I see bad things... Commodity sell price @tier 1 is 11% @tier2 12% not 10%/20%
You do realise there is no bad stuff and I'm not wrong right? You're just simply looking at it a different way?
if things sell to the store for 10% of the value base and are increased by 1% (11% total at tier 1) that's increased by 10% from the base value.
