- Video showing American Eagle ride operator POV. At Six Flags Great America in Gurnee IL.
Video showing Trains dispatching and Advancing into the station. As seen in the video both advance/Dispatch buttons must be pressed until the train in fully out of the station. Buttons are held until train is stopped in the proper load/Unload position. Once parked and operator releases buttons lap-bars unlock at the buzz. If for any reason buttons are released during dispatch, trains will stop without a downtime.

Wow. Always wanted to know how to operate American Eagle. Thank you for the great content!
More videos coming soon.. ;)
Being a ride operator sounds cool! If I don’t become a bellhop, then maybe a ride operator
@@cochiofficial5858you sure?
I was Certified to operate Shockwave in 1989, was also certified for: Power Dive, Roaring Rapids, Cajun Cliffhanger, loggers/clipper, Scenic Railway, Rue Le Dodge,. Can't remember them all, but I managed to get certified for most of the rides at the front end of the park. My Brother was Lead at Tidalwave/Lobster when they were next to each other. At least the Red Name Tags are still for Leads, Blue was for supervisors, and yellow was for the 15 year olds, and they still have the old laminated cards that tell what rides you can operate. Looks like this is the first test run of the morning before the park opens'. We didn't have a lot of prerecorded messages back when I was working, I had to memorise a 3 page speech just to get certified on the Railroad.
You got some balls my man
Ooo! Pretty buttons!
Satisfying :)
Wow this is really helpful! I've been a coaster enthusiast since July 2019. Six Flags Over Georgia is my 2nd home park and I hope to become a Ride Op for the first time for the 2022 season.
The wooden coaster here at SFOG, Great American Scream Machine, & Blue Hawk (steel coaster) has I think 5 blocks. While American Eagle has 6 I think. The only difference I noticed is SFOG, doesn't let go Dispatch after sending Train 1. They don't give another "All Clear", they just receive Train 2 in the station and manually say the exiting spiel. Why SFGAm & SFOG receive trains differently idk?
With this, I now know when holding the buttons, the computer automatically parks the train (it won't overshot the station) & unlock the restraints.
Thank you for this video! One of my favorites! I'm a nerd for coaster operations. I literally "All Clear" before I advance to my daily tasks. 😅
Glad you enjoyed the video. Also don’t set your expectations to high on working for six flags. It will be fun for about 2 weeks.
@@cochiofficial5858 Thanks for the heads up. I might be getting too hyped.
@@cochiofficial5858 anything is better then flipping burgers
Update: I'm not a ride op. I visited the park (SFOG) and was reminded to why I didn't want to work there to begin with.
@@SydeLeaderRay I am at SFGRAM- I personally enjoy it, love the microphone and being there, co workers are amazing- employee food is amazing I would recommend the only thing is if there’s a rainy day and you’re not prepared… I definitely am planning to be there for a few more seasons
Good video’
00:09 train 2 hits brake 1 00:20 train 1 enters Lift block (brake 4)
Cool, you can see this if you are in line for the front row?
I thought the red cart means backwards and blue means forwards?
I can actually dispatch rides with magic
