Wonderful conversation! Mike has often spoken about how he wrote such and such a song, but somehow he never repeats himself and always adds fresh insights. I really like the format chosen for this podcast as it keeps it free-flowing... I wonder if the poem Mike refers to is not Night Mail by WH Auden?

I think the poem Mike mentions about the train was Night Mail by W.H Auden.
Don't forget The Waterboys' 'Spirit'
