I remember back in my childhood, the best way to beat the AI was just towers. They curbstomp the AI priest spam, have no minimum range, and civs with fully upgradeable towers can even wreck catapults that AREN'T fully upgraded.
Well played sir. Saw a few minor mistakes early on, your micro managing needed some work in this game, but the pace you set was excellent. Also click less use hotkeys more- things will go faster. Ctrl group your units as well makes it easier. I wasn't sure if people played this game competitively anymore but you were really fun to watch!

You need a PC with a CD-Drive than you have to use a Programm like Alcohol 120% ore something like this to create a Image of the CD. Now you have to Install a Programm on your Laptop who can mount this Image (Daemon Tools), Create a Virtual Drive and Mount the image (Image is like a Virtual CD) Know you can Play it Only thing is you should have the Original game and never Copy games you didnt buy because that would be Piracy :O

Sentry towers are the way to go. They hold areas well and enough of them in the correct place can stop forces dead in their tracks.

how do you select your idle villagers and your newly constructed units? did you program your own hotkeys? and if yes, can you tell me how?
You can select units and while holding control you hit a number, then whenever you hit that number all those units that were selected are selected
