Well being that these guys are just a bunch of good old boys, they always put out songs of southern rock and a twist of country, staying true to their roots is what they do best!! Cody, Jeremy , Randy, Grady thanks for signing my axe in the bus , see ya guys in July, peace , love and happiness from the 4 of us!!!
@debbiehafer Nope, not touring anymore as CCR...they broke up. But you can see Cody Canada & The Departed (ex-CCR bassist Jeremy Plato is also in the band) on tour now, in support of their debut album This Is Indian Land.
HOLY F!? A 6 String CARVIN BASS?! I must a been wasted when I saw them in New Berlin IL last year. And ya man I grew up in Ohio. Bogus Rap to fill the municipal coffers, same shit all the way back to when I was a kid in '78. Keep Jammin' Guys!
Seeing him, Cody, June 16 & 17. Evansville IN and Bloomington IN. He's nice enopugh to pick up a couple of shows that CCR had to cancel. Then the entire band the 19th in Louisville with Chris Knight. LIFE IS GOOD ! ! ! For now anyway.
@TheWillcass To add to what you said about how Ragweed is southern rock with a twist of country, I have a feeling that--if they were labeled as rock--they just might be more popular. Anyway, they're a great band and they actually deserve to get some recognition.
@jessechop When the cop asked Cody if they were collectors of paraphinelia he replied no were just pots heads, we get high loss our shit and have to buy new shit

"51 Pieces"
The O.H.I.O. S.H.P.
Had a quota to fill, that quota was me
One helluva night down at the H.O.B.
51 pieces on the side of the road
Francis Ford and Mary Jane
Mick and Keith down at the bowling lane
All was cool 'til the sun up came
51 pieces on the side of the road
[Chorus:]
Well, it never occurred to me
How ten out of ten would go free
For 51 pieces in the side of the road
[Instrumental]
The thunder rolls and the lightnin' is flashin'
Sirens scream and the cars are crashin'
I am the object of their passion
51 pieces on the side of the road
It goes to show that you never know
Swing up high, you come down low
Watch your back in Ohio
51 pieces on the side of the road
[Repeat Chorus]

Breakout? They broke out a long time ago!! :)

These guys have never sold out!!!!! Well unless you count bars and clubs.
Sounds like Todd sniders "45 miles"
Pretty much identical, musically.
I loved CCR ... The newer "Departed" stuff just seems to have lost its rock edge. I wish the old band could give it one more try.
Will Ferrell plays a mean bass! ;P
If you want to see someone that's sold out, do a search on Jack Ingram.
