Payal, this is the rule: One to Walk, Two to Talk. But some may Walk and Talk little earlier or little later. In fact, watching your videos I always felt that Sid is very talkative and communicative. He is absolutely reaching all his age appropriate milestones. Nothing to worry. Cheers!

My daughter too takes bottle but she talks since she was 1.5 year. Each child is different and so as their development and activities.Sid is very active and cute baby.

My son is also multi lingual child…. Since young he is used to speaking Kannada, Tulu, my language Ao and English while growing. He’s half Kannada and half Ao (Nagaland). Though he has spoke few English words by 1, but now he understand and speak few Kannada, Ao, Hindi, English and Tulu and he’s more comfortable speaking English and his vocab is great. He’s now 5 and he also has pronunciation with L words when young… like Lime he’d say Wime but as he grow older it’s been fixed on his own so don’t worry.

@@shobhakateel7442 though my husband is from Bangalore, but his family origin is from North Karnataka and their aunts and uncles are spread out everywhere in the state. And one of his aunts lives in Mangalore who visits us regularly and she speaks Tulu to him only.

Hi....in India also now a days ...most of the children are multi lingual.
We are from odisha.staying in Maharashtra. So my boy now learning marathi, hindi, of course English , and Odia also.
Payal don't worry at all.. If doctors said Sid is achieving milestones and is not necessary every kid will be the same right.. as far as i see Sid is already very communicative .. he always tries to communicate. Sara also started to soak after 15 months.. and those who speaks little late they speak a loooot later.. so be ready 😊.. trust me he will automatically learn languages.. For example i talk in bengali with sara so she automatically speak in bengali with me and my parents, whereas she speaks in marathi with her father and his parents and in school she speaks English and hindi, so Sid will learn everything by time you se.. just that if you are speaking in bengali and rai in English maintain that.. else he will mix up, and he will catch things easily by time

Once he starts going to nursery his speech will pick up faster as he interacts with teachers and other kids

Exactly same feeling..!! I used to hear lot of things from people why my son is still not talking..It made me feel so nervous so I took my baby to a speech therapist last week..and she told me the same thing and I am very relaxed now! And you know after following the steps she told me my baby started talking since last week..❤ I talked with lot of boy moms all r telling ki chele ra ektu late ei Kotha bole..😀

Hi Payal di. My daughter is 21 months old. I have noticed that she started speaking much more once she started daycare because she is exposed to a lot more people. Sid will get there too very fast.
Also, my daughter before she started daycare understood and spoke gujarati words with us but not anymore. So, Sid is doing really good too. Don’t worry. Much love from Atlanta!

Payal di it’s absolutely fine if child speaks a lil late. And I think Sid is not late he is just 18 months old now. My daughter is multilingual and she has tongue tie, I was worried just as you, as she didn’t speak clearly until 2.2 yrs. Now she is 3 n she speaks 3 languages non stop. She is a talking machine now

Hey don't worry, my younger son had similar issue, we were talking Hindi at home, my parents were talking in Malayalam and my elder son English, once I started sending my son to the day care, everything changed, he started talking in English as other kids were speaking in the daycare, toilet training, and also eating, as Sid grows he will be fine😊

Don't get tense payel di.. sometimes he is hearing bemgali sometimes hindi then english then other languages. I too faced this problem ,then i was suggested to speak only english with him...
Payal why can't u build elevator in your house . I know it's difficult but it's possible in your house. U just have to call an architect and get it done . It's not that difficult. U can even build escalators if u want .
U can build an elevator near your stairs . It won't spoil your house Carpet area.

Some people rightly said here in US we can't do certain things like in India....I will tell you all one incident...one of my neighbors friend house one section was burned down because they had left diya on and some how the diya fell on carpet and caught fire.... similar few Incidents have happened and also in winter we have to keep all the windows door there is no enough ventilation and also there is also static due to dryness so thats why it's really an hazard....so please understand, no Indian would blow off the diya 🪔 just for sake.

To everyone who is saying diya kyu haath se bhujaya- when we live outside india there is a fear of things catching fire, our homes are made differently- one small accident can cause fire. So I also do this after keeping diya on for sometime

True, one of my friends house caught fire due to Diya and their whole house got fire and burned down to ashes. We all have to be careful here.. Here houses r made of wood.

Payel I am from Toronto .my son is also 19 months old.he is also say 10 to 12 words.but he can understand instruction proper.my pedi told me that he should understand basic instruction mostly nothing else.

@@SimpleLivingWiseThinking then no issue at all.everybody can speak on their own time.just main things are should understand instruction and should play pretend sometimes that’s the main things my pedi told me.i have twin nephew one speaks very early age almost at 2 years he can speaks proper sentences but other one just can say some words at 2 years old.then at 2.3 month he was speaking ,but late speaker is more now more intelligent and serious in his studies than other one😀.so just relax enjoy ur motherhood with ur son… one day he will speak too much and I m sure you will say oh god sid just b silent for 1 min 😄

In US ..speech therapist is really good ..they work on weak spot.i am sure the result will be positive for Sid.But u have do all those speech work at home too ...then Sid will have progress.
R they allowing you to sit in the session along with Sid ?? Becoz that would be easier for you to teach Sid at home .They give assignment ..just check it out.Good luck Payal ...its not easy going thru this...becoz i too went thru same phase.

Hi dear What Payals doctors did say is exactly true.Excessive use of pacifier and bottles can also delay speech that’s why generally all doctors say to switch over to sippy cups at around 12-18 months

i am a bong too and my son started speaking from a little less than 1&half..ur son definitely has a speech delay .. he should be able to speak basic words now..he’s probably slow because u don’t send him to a day care..put him to a day care and u will see the progress in a month.
sorry I think so you r not a doctor and my husband started speaking at 2.5 yrs and I started speaking at 1 yr so did I achieve for than him and the answer is no .....at the end of the day its fine .
