What is interesting about Rue's backstory, is the fact that the evil she possessed was just using her to get to Mytho. I would say it's based upon her jealousy for Mytho and Tutu's friendship. The thing is, throughout the series, she's having such a mental existential crisis. She doesn't know who she is or what she wants. She just knows that she wants to be with Mytho, but doesn't know how to really show him the love she really has for her. She can only do it through 'evil' intentions. Also, coming to this video, I just now realized how sexualized her dances are to Mytho. I never knew it back then when I was watching this as a young teen, but her behavior is quite disturbing. o.o
What exactly scares you? If her behavior is wrong, it is completely consistent with her stage image. Odile seduces Siegfried, her dance in Swan Lake is quite sexy (in the "language of ballet", of course, and not in the style of a strip bar). If you are afraid of child and adolescent sexualization, then also in vain. Those who study ballet seriously come to ballet school (or rather, their parents bring them) at the age of 4-6 years. Sometimes even younger. Less often - older. And ballet is by no means a puritanical art.

Rue is such an interesting character. Sometimes I rewatch episodes and wonder if she choose to be bad or if it was thrust upon her.
