Lived on Martinique back in the 1980's, and loved it. That "bathtub" area you mentioned is named after Empress Josephine (wife of Napoleon) who was born here.
Really fun video! My wife and I visit Martinique about five years ago and so much of your video brought back fond memories. We're heading back to Martinique this weekend for a week and can't wait to check out some of your recommendations.
I wanna travel to must of this Caribbean island I also being to Tortola , British virgen island Tortola , Anguilla And Saint Martin , Martinique and Guadalupe 🇬🇵 in my bucket lit
How do you manage your budget around this Caribbean island I back then use to live in Antigua and Barbuda and is very expenses , , the far I being was curaçao maybe pass true Saint Lucia and Barbados 🇧🇧
@IslandHopperTV Sorry, it's one pet peeve of mine. I used to work at a distillery for a couple of years. I love your videos working my way through the caribbean right now. Since the wife works for Hilton, I can get a good rate at any Hilton property.
Haiti was the first country to "free itself" from France, Martinique is still a French possession but watch only this documentary about Martinique and Haiti, it is better not to show anything because of its disturbing images.
Yes and no. They are different as there are some West Indian Islands that are not bordered by the Caribbean Sea like Barbados. However the islands you mentioned like Puerto Rico are both Caribbean and West Indian. And those of us from the islands don’t even make that distinction. We use the terms interchangeably.
Amazing beauty

Hi, i m planning to go to Martinique island in June but i m worried about deng fever, what would you recommend? İs it really dangerous?
I came from Martinique and you can have Dengue only if you get bitten by tiger mosquitoes.
@@elsasvenski1566 thanks, last month I visited Martinique and I m still alive 😃
@@berkhasan07 There is “epidemic season” for dengue. I had dengue only one time in my life. So it’s not that surprising you survive!
Beaches were topless
It was freeing
One correction... it's not a rum factory it's a rum distillery.
You are right. Thank you!

It’s a paradise. But there is a big problem. Dengue Fever is endemic .
Do they speak any English on that island??
They do speak English as the island is an Overseas Department of France 🇫🇷 and its inhabitants are French citizens.
They mostly speak French
Some did a little. We used Google translator. Everyone was very nice. The GPS in the car gave us issues until we changed the language
@@Todd1997-s7v The island's official language is French as it is an Overseas Department of France 🇫🇷

Franca is still a colonist on this island💔 everything looks beautiful but the population suffers at the hands of the French
Enslaved People. Not "slaves".
knock it off
West Indies and Caribbean means the same thing...
No it does not

The city smells terrible and the beaches are very contaminated.
