Guys, thanks so much for the great response to this video, LOTS OF QUESTIONS about ceramic coating your car right away. I am not 100% versed in this to make a comment other than I know so many have done it and not had an issue. It seals the paint differently than the cover does, even with a coating, I would still wait even more so that 60+ days before using a cover as I did in today's video. Hope this helps you guys and again, I appreciate your continued support!

Hi Rick, new subscriber here. First reply to your channel as well. I appreciate your detailed broadcasts! Q: How does the transportation cover correlate to the storage cover to the blemish defects that was mentioned? Seeing how the transportation cover goes on even sooner than a new owner would do with their garage cover. Also, do you have any detailed technical information on the overall quality of the paint system - wheels, tint coats, durability between colors? thanks!

Rick you do not have to slam the hatch down on the charger wires. If you move the wire a little to the right or left side of the hatch , you will a find a space that the wire can fit and move freely . There will be no pressure on the wire or the hatch gaskets.

I was on my way to buy the Mercedes S580 that I already saw and liked. But I took a detour to a Chevrolet dealership to see a Corvette. As soon as I enter the showroom, a beautiful red Corvette was displayed on a platform in the center of the showroom. I pointed at it and said: "I want that car."

Hey Rick, since I have come across your videos a few months ago I have learned so much. I recently got a call from a dealer close to my house about someone backing out of getting their C8. I went and looked at it and didn’t want it. I want to get the car from you. Plus it wasn’t what I wanted. Anyway, this salesperson have been selling corvettes for 20 plus years and I knew more about the C8 than the salesperson. How is this possible since I have never owned a corvette. Well, thanks to your videos you truly teach everyone what corvettes are really about. Keep it up. I greatly appreciate it. Now, this is enough typing. Gotta get back to watching more of your Videos. Thanks again. Keep them coming.

Just got my ZR1 from a car dealer from Ohio and saw the battery charger...I google it how to use it and I'm glad I saw your video. Learn about the car cover and battery charger. Thank you Rick!
Also, I had only seen the car in the internet, never in person...what an amazing car when its in front of you. It's a beautiful machine.

Rick, the paint on any new car is cured before it leaves the factory. You can polish it, wax it, coat it, and you can certainly cover it the day you get it. That would have been an issue 30 years ago, but it's not today.

Thanks for the informative Vlog Rick! The Corvette I purchased from you had both the cover and the battery tender as the options and I have put both to good use. Picked up a good tip on how to roll that cover back up to get it in the carrying case. One thing to mention, and it might be assumed, make sure you wash and wax that exterior before putting the cover on! You don't want to get dirt ground into the side of the cover that sets on the paint. ;)

A follow-up to your comment re: ceramic coatings; our friend Albert (Block-A-Chip / Mentor, OH) has many of the exotics he works on brought to him
straight from the dealer after they're delivered and prepped. Applying XPEL and/or ceramic coatings to a brand new vehicle is completely safe. I've
driven my last 3 cars to his shop straight from the dealership without even stopping home first! So no worries on that front...

Another great video where you share important useful information for a Corvette owner. I hadn't considered the effects of the new paint out gassing when putting a car cover on a new Corvette. It's something I should have remembered from my engineering background. Must be the results of getting older. Haha! It does make me wonder if you can get some paint degradation from the paint out gassing if you add a paint protection coating before the paint has cured. I have seen paint degradation on some of my cars, but thought it was from atmospheric contamination.
I like the segment on the battery conditioner. I also like that you include one as additional equipment on the new Corvettes you order for stock. Just another of the thoughtful things that you do for your customers.

For older Corvettes that do not have the plug for the battery tender in the rear you can plug it into the cigarette lighter and run the cord through one of the weep holes under the door also always plug up the rear exhaust to keep rodents out my buddy started up his Harley in the spring and a mouse had filed the muffler up with dog food

does tje C8 outdoor cover go over the high wi g spoiler if that option is ordered. ? I'm think about adding both but I'm concerned that the high wing will make the outdoor cover null and void.
